We were taken to this place by our friend living in Estonia otherwise we would have never learned about it. It is pretty far from Tallin and not much advertised.
I found it really rural, no concrete roads only winding paths, a pond and the...forest around us.
We saw people playing a siege-game there (yes. One group is attacking a plank fortress and the other is defending it), but we directly headed to our dinner.
The main building has a restaurant and some rooms upstairs (we were told it is a "hotel"). Everything is made of wood.
Food was delicious, but portions were small. We had to order more (and more) because we were still hungry. And one of the dishes (a kind of a pork stew) needed a bit more cooking as it was a bit chewy. Finally, after a lot of food and some desserts hunger was chased away.
Drinks were a totally different category. Everything, really every single drink we tried was awesome. The local spirits, the honey beer... (the waitress couldn't tell which brand they were). Excellent drinks, again.
It was a great experience, a bit calmer than I would expect from a viking village though. Recommended of course.More
