This spot is great for tasting wonderful beers of Pohjala. They are serving other drinks and the food served is excellent.

Visited the Põhjala Tap Room for lunch on a Saturday. Got there just after opening, so wasn't too busy - lots of reserved tables though, so maybe book if you have a big party. Venue is really cool - little shop downstairs, bar and food...upstairs. Staff were very friendly. Food is Texas BBQ style - portion size is good, prices are very reasonable. Drinks are also reasonably priced, with a great selection of beers (as you would expect). Overall, highly recommended for a casual lunch and some great beer.More
We had a table reservation for 5 people and we were going for dinner. When we were giving our food order staff told us they are running out of half of the menu. It would have been great to know this beforehand and we could've...made another decisions. So definitely 1 star for this and not giving second chance.More
1 hour brewery tour was nice, small new brewery with personal story. 4 tastings during tour. glasses can be taken with you after tour. Quite cheap, nice experience. In restaurant possible to taste all products. 5 tastings with 13 euros, not bad. Warms beer lover...heart🙂More
Excellent beer they have 24 different varieties on tab, u can select the beer tasting for a fair price. Good is complimentary to the beer, bit of a slow service would recommend to have a reservation
The prices do not match the products. The beers are good but the food and service was not at all in alliance with the prices.
We came here for drinks and it was great, we sat next to the window with the sun beaming through. We ordered the Sun City beer which was so nice. We didn’t eat anything but food looked good. Atmosphere was cool, super high ceilings, lots...of tables and room and music wasn’t too loud. We didn’t book and we’re lucky to get a table. But I suggest booking if you really want to go.More
Põhjala Brewery has a tremendous selection of tap as well as bottled beers. The brewery has beers for any occasion and my most favourite was "Bison in the Barrel Room". It was the best beer I've ever had. I was also positively taken aback at...the size of the snack platter. It was definitely worth the buck. Also, there is a shop downstairs in the building where you can buy merch, goods and beer to take home with you!More
My son took me here as he is a huge lover of their ales . A wonderful building with the tap room bar restaurant upstairs . We sat at the bar and after much deliberation chose some excellent beers !! The service was outstanding ,...quick and very friendly . The lad was also very knowledgable. We also ordered the brisket chilli beef fries to share which was delicious . Just a shame it was lunch time and we had more sightseeing to do as we could happily have stayed there all day !! Just wish we could buy this beer in the U.K. .More
Restaurant is good with a lot of different beers to be tasted. Burgers were excellent. The only problem is that it was very crowded and very loud, they should do something for the acoustics.
This was my second visit here. I first visited in January, 2019 and just had their beer. This time my wife was with me and we had lunch here. We made a reservation but it wasn’t needed as the place wasn’t that crowded on the...Tuesday when we visited. I had read that their barbecue was very good and it lived up to its reputation. We both had the three meat sampler of beef rib, sausage and brisket. The barbecue was excellent and it holds up very well in comparison to the top barbecue places in Texas. The brisket is pretty pricy but it’s very moist and flavorful. The beef rib and sausage were also very good. I love their beer, especially their dark beers, which are their specialty. I’ve seen a few recent reviews criticize their beer. I can only assume that most of these people aren’t craft beer fans. I consider Pohjala, along with a couple of other Estonian breweries, to be among the finest brewers of dark beers. Since they offer 24 different styles on tap there are bound to be a few that you may not like. In all likelihood that will be because of the style you chose, not because of the quality of the beer. We sat at the bar and the service was very good. They have a nice gift shop on the first floor which sells beer and souvenirs. Their website shows what’s on tap and the list appeared to be up-to-date. Note that both food and beer orders are placed at the bar. Highly recommended and a “must visit” destination for craft beer fans.More
A great brewery with a fresh and modern taproom packing a nice menu of dishes, also catering to kids. Beer flights and many taps available. Great Texas-style bbq on the menu and the hamburgers were also very tasty. Will definitely visit again.
Terrible service, unprofessional and sluggish. You’ll have to wait half a day to get your beer. Rather avoid!
The food was absolutely top notch. Some of the best brisket I have ever eaten. And the bar restaurant setup is also good - its in a renovated factory. But the beer lets this place down in my opinion. I’m all in favour of experimentation...and there were some interesting flavours such as sea buckthorn, carrot and birch bark and passionfruit ( although some fell flat ). But this place seems to follow the Mikkeller tradition of overdoing the hops in every brew and the end result is a sour aftertaste in too many of the brews. There is no subtlety to the beer - despite valiant attempts. And 24 beers feels too many - I would suggest they concentrate their offerings and revolve. The vimalised IPA and Orange Gose were the best but I have had better elsewhere in TallinnMore
Trip back in 2020. Some hangover treatment for few hours. Booked a brewery tour and sauna via email. Worked out easily. Taxi driver didn’t know the place, didn’t Even recognise the address! Estonian professional drivers… after few phone calls to fellow drivers managed to find...the route. Would’ve been there already by foot but the stage we were in, better just sit in the taxi. Few beers on the second floor before brewery tour. Beers were nice, as always with pohjala. Brewery tour supposed to be with larger group, but there were some motorcycle monsters way too sh•tfaced, so the staff wouldn’t let them participate. A BIG plus for that. Biker mice sure were angry (and still way too drunk) but left the scene. So we had our private tour for five. No hurry, no hustle, humorous, dedicated, the best brewery tour I’ve been to. These dudes got the nicest set up ever! Few beers included in the tour after seeing the facilities. We bought few beers from downstairs for the sauna session. Sauna facilities were very nice, pretty new and shiny, as the rest of the place as well off course. And hour in the beautiful sauna, and on to the Tallinn night… The visit was superb for all 5 of us. Everyone enjoyed every minute of it. The place itself Is gorgeous with all that industrial vibe and the service was spot on. Will definately visit again and propably again. Next time have to try the food!More
