The Monaco serves a good lunch at an affordable price: soup plus slad or main course for 8 euros. Dinner menu is more varied and excellent and again very well presented. Service is first class and informative.
The Monaco restaurant is partly hidden inside the Nordic Forum Hotel in central Tallinn. But it is a very nice restaurant. My wife and I have had two splendid dinners there. The food is very good as is the service.
And the service includes such...a thing as making an original Dry Martini as a strater.
We can recommend the Monaco restaurant in every way.
And if you stay at the hotel there is a very nice brekfast in the Monaco also.More
Very nice place to stay for families travelling to Tallinn. Good hotel staff, helpful and excellent breakfast buffet.Centrally located, close by the old town. Would recommend for families visiting or corporate traveller.
Basic hotel restaurant
Good service though;
Dishes without personality from the starters until the main courses.
Desserts better than the rest.
Wine list pretty average;
Not a place to visit if you are not a hotel guest in a rainy day.
This is a review from June 2019, I walked in with no booking around 7PM, it was very quiet with only three active tables.
I was seated immediately and from there the service was fast, although remember there were only three other tables.
Every dish...was explained and the waiting staff seemed very knowledgeable, three courses without alcohol was e33, expensive for the Tallinn average, but this was high quality with excellent service.More
Although i stayed at this hotel for many many nights over the years but i never tried dining at Restaurant Monaco until a couple of days ago and it waa really worth it
Top quality service
Dinner cooked with care and very tasty
I really...recomend itMore
Sat down to order a 100 euro meal with wine and then asked for a jug of tap water. Was informed I had to order mineral water. We decided not to eat there and walked out.
The explanation given was that they didn't have the...filters on the water.
Yet in the neighbouring bar in the Hotel (which is very good) they do give you water. And the water is drinkable in the rooms (I've stayed there).
I thought they had grown out of this nonsense in Tallinn (they used to do this all the time).More
So this is a Hotel Restaurant and we were here for a lunch as part of a tour group. The atmosphere is what you might expect in an area that doubles up for breakfast. Having said that the food was very good and the service...excellent.
You wouldn't want to make a trip to eat here though.More
