Overall, food was good and they have interesting combinations on the menu. They serve octopus as kalamari (?). Halibut with quinoa was great and their Sardiinid beer was good. Service was relaxed but we didn't mind as we were not in a rush and got...a table at the terrace. It is true that we got our mains after 1,5h from arrival time but we were happy as got our drinks. One thing that threw us is that they started to collect plates although not everyone have finished eating at the table. Moreover, they asked if we would like a dessert or anything else whilst one person was still eating their main. Table could be wiped before new customers. Otherwise, a good experience.More

Waited 1 hour 20 minutes for ONE starter. Drinks were served after 1 hour of waiting. No apologies or explaining that maybe the kitchen was busy that night etc (it was Wednesday evening! Don’t want to know how long people have to wait in the...weekends). Food was average, nothing special. Wrote an e-mail to them about the abnormal waiting time and got no reply. Would have been polite to at least apologise.More

I’m writing this review while sitting here in the restaurant. We arrived 1 hour and 30minutes ago. It took multiple visits to the front desk and 30 minutes to get a waitress to our table. Still waiting for the food. We have ordered and our...drinks were served, but by now we are out of drinks and our waitress is nowhere to be seen. We were not warned that the food will take in excess of an hour to be served. Even the cheese platter has not arrived. Would not recommend. The service is so slow, that even if the food is great, it’s not worth it. We are going to leave now.More

Friday evening was a disaster. Booked table. Were in time. Waiting for the waitress 15 minutes, waiting for the order taken another 15 minutes. Making the food another one hour. Ordered appetiser, burger, seafoof pasta and place special sardiinid. Everything came together. Pasta was OK,...burger and free fries were cold as fu*k (ff was from supermarket frozen food department), sardiinid (3) were also slightly warm and so badly cooked - overfried. And we are locals, we have been here a lot in the past. No more, sorry.More

I had the pleasure to eat twice at the Sardiinid and on both occatiobs the food was very good. On the first night I had oysters for a starter which were nice and fresh followed by the signature dish Sardines was good but not excellent....On the second night I had shrimps and avocado followed by calamari which were both excellent. I'll be back.More

Not the best view, service is slow, food tasteless and the prices for that reason are too expencive. Cheesplate was nothing special, sardines were too big to eat them (because of the bones) - usuaöly sardines are small so y can eat the whole fish....My shrimps were all over covered with sweer and sour chili souse (tasted like shop souse) and therefore you could sense only that heavy chili souse. Would not go back! For that price would recommend Contraverto!More

Sardiinid has a lot of sea food on offer and special service, where staff can confidently advise on what wine goes best with any dish (and they have a lot of wines and they allow you to test wine before you order a glass of...it) and what one can expect to see on their plate and what it would taste like. Food-wise, it was quite nice. Don't expect to fill your stomach to the brim here though - portions are a bit shy but taste very well. If you're looking to meet business colleagues or have a work event, then Sardiinid is a great place for it, as they should accommodate you with complimentary snacks, great atmosphere and tasty food!More

Frankly speaking, the sea view, especially if you're sitting on the open terrace attracts you entirely. And yet you can still appreciate starters like bruschettas, well and beautifully made bouillabaisse, the duck in Japanese style glazed with the sweet potato puree and the red wine...sauce and a good choice of pink wine. Your summer feelings in Estonia with its quite a few hot days will be truly satisfied.More

I don't understand why the place has been rated high in terms of food. Mussels were cold and tasteless, I think they were frozen (not fresh) and overcooked. Not what is served in any restaurant in Brussels, and even in Tallinn, in Controvento, mussels are...absoultely delicious. I also tried hummus which also tasted like from supermarket. Service was friendly but the waiter did know if fish is fresh or frozen. How can you call yourself a fish restaurant, and not tell your waiters what kind of fish you are selling...Colleagues said a tuna burger was good, so it probably was. Most fish in menu, except tuna, is frozen though. Even though we have lots of fresh local fish now! I would not return, because you get 100% better food in Controvento for smaller price.More

Food was good, prices acceptable, portions medium - not too small. What is amazing is the location of this place. Imagine entering into Soviet sports facility built for sailing regatta of Moscow Olympics. Now put yourself into changing society of 90's and imagine this building...again. Nothing has changed. Service was friendly though. No bratva in the restaurant.More
