I ordered pasta with sun-dried tomatoes and chicken. My dish arrived and it was only pasta with a lot of cream and no tomatoes. I went to ask the waitress where the tomatoes were, she went to the kitchen and told me that they were...below my pasta. Indeed: the chef had just added two sun-dried tomatoes. So I was very disappointed to be lied to like that and pasta were absolutely not good. Very simple cream pasta that I could have made myself and better. It wasn’t good at all.More

Escaping the freezing November wind we dropped in for cups of coca and some bakery. Super-cozy, good snack and a friendly service

Boggapott (founded in 1992)is located a short distance down the hill from Toopea Castle and the church of Saint Alexander Nevsky Cathedral on the street called the Pikk jaig. We stumbled upon this quaint little restaurant with small courtyard as we made our way down...the hill through the restored old town. We found out after our meal of Seljanks (a Russian tomato based and meat soup), Russian pelmeenis/ pelmeenid (dumplings) and beer, that the soup bowls and mugs for the beer were made right there in the potters shop off the courtyard. On the map, Bogapott is located right near the Luhike jaig, a short narrow stairway, that connected the high town from the lower town. Highly recommend this restaurant for sampling local cuisine!More

Just in front of Aleksander Nevski cathedral, small but cosy restaurant. I selected salad with Seabuckthorn sauce (which was bit too sweet & too much for me), Rucola and pine seeds. Taste was good, ingredients fresh, so I can recommend the place. Portion size was...cheap but bit small (enough though )for a snack I was looking for. They have a relative large selection of light dishes, so I’m sure everyone can find something to eat. Worth to stop for a break.More

We found this place due to full house of other restaurant near by. We were a group of Six and sat inside near the cashier (easy to order and get attention of the server, this is important!). Home made food was good and we did...enjoy it very much. Cheers!More

We visited based on the good reviews and weren't all that impressed. The pastry was rich and good. The soup was okay, at best. There was nothing bad here, but nothing above average either. Some photos are attached.

This is a popular small cafe-cum-art shop next to the wall of the old town. We came for lunch and were lucky to find a table. The service is relaxed and at times a little slow but we enjoyed our meal. I had the tasty...and filling Solyanka soup.More

We stopped here for lunch during our trip to old town. The spot is really nice. We ordered relatively simple food but it took a long time before it arrived. Staff was friendly.

A very cute place with nice decoration and amazing coffee. I tried the potato salad and even though the portion was a bit small for me, it was really nice too!
