Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Over the course of many years and after testing out them all, we go there for lunch on a daily basis. Kind people, delicious and honest food, and a cozy atmosphere.

Great little gem in Tallinn where my family and I had the chance to have lunch on our trip in this lovely city. The food is homemade, then incredibly delicious, at a reasonable price. The « brought from home » furniture also makes the atmosphere cosy. I...recommend this place!More

The place is closed since one and a half years. There is a new cafe with a new ovner at the same place called Desiree Kodukohvik. Food quality is about the same as before. Heavily fried dishes and watery cafe.

20 minutes waiting, they showed us where to seat, then 20 good minutes in a comfortable chair. We went out, maybe they have good food too for other 4 costumers..

In the north of the city, this informal bistro is the coziest place I've ever been. Good food prepared at the moment, in a very comfortable environment.

The restaurant is a normal house that operates a very cozy place to eat. The owners are the family of the house and when you enter inside, you feel that you are in a house. It has sofas, couches, fireplaces, in general a very special...decoration. The guy was very hospitable and he and his wife treated us very well. The food was homemade food and we enjoyed it very much. They also serve tap water and the washroom has also a shower. We will definitely visit this place again, since it it a unique experience.More

What a cute little restaurant. We ordered smoked duck and steak, both were delicious and definitely did not leave hungry. Great value for price. The staff was polite and spoke English very good. I fully recommend this place.

Just back from this restaurant, in a very touristy city that is tallinn, with its many cruise ship visitors & day trippers, its overpriced cafes &. Restaurants, and its general faux feel, it was invigorating to stumble upon this gem, 10 minutes walk from the...Old Town centre, is a very authentic and homely restaurant that offers great home cooked food @ reasonable prices, after being warmly welcomed by the chef/ proprietor we ate the following : typical estonian sausage, salad, saute potatoes & sauce. Also pork schnitzel withe the same sides, the dishes were flavoursome, warm, and tasty, as well as being good value for money, service was attentive, friendly & personal, the premises were quirky, interesting & homely, we washed our repast down with local lager, thoroughly recommended, we shall return.More

The food and the prices are great here, we spent 20 euros and had three dishes and beverages. Staff is very nice and speak good English. The dining room is made out of armchairs and tables in what looks to be a part of the...owner's family house. I would totally come back here if I had more time in tallinn. If you are looking for a local place don't miss this one!More

Great little place. Saw the flowers and outside the first day I was in the city but didn’t know what it was. So happy we came for lunch. Everyday they have a changing menu. You just go inside and if you don’t speak Estonian, they...will translate what they have on the menu for you that day. Super affordable, delicious, and homemade. My husband and I had a plate of grill sausage and sides, as well as a plate of pork and sides ( potatoes, aside, cucumbers, Estonian Bread) for 6 euros each. They were the most expensive dishes on the board of the day. Delicious. Friendly. Cute. Quick service. What else could you ask for? Outside terrace and inside tables with friendly people to match. Enjoy!More

Kalamaja has been trendiest areas in Tallinn for several years now. There are so many options for drinks or food and this is one of those. Little terrace outside, restaurant itself is in a cellar, so you have to take few steps from streel level....There you find lots of local foods and drinks, that you can buy home or eat there. Interior is real rustic, like from your Grandmother's place. Service was friendly and prices cheapMore

Don’t mind the poor reviews. Come with an open mind. The place is very relaxed. They might reheat your food or not speak your language- so what! Great food , traditional, good prices. It’s like eating in a grandmas living room. Good place for families!

It appears that the problems that caused one star reviews in late July and early August are gone. Two women were behind the counter and waited on us. The place is also a shop; you order your food at the counter then take a table...and they bring it to you. We would definitely go back here again. The food was extraordinary and the price was great.More

Preamble: we hate touristic and fashion restaurants. We had dinner here tonight, the restaurant is managed by two young guys friendly, the menu is very simple but typical, and it change every day.
