Flight to Tallinn, then 2 hours drive to Haapsalu - and what would the rockers need before making the noise together with Phill Campbell and his Band? Answer was as clear as simple - good lunch to refresh us properly . And for that matter...the very "badger-dog (Taksi) Pubi" offered us a helping leg.
English-Estonian-Russian - so easy to understand each other - and big plates of solyanka appeared on the table, then followed by mince with potato. Delicious, fantastic as well as feeling like at home. A Le Coq beer - a real Estonian pride - just deepened that impression.
When we greeted Phill Campbell and his Sons in the evening, we recalled Taksi Pubi with the real warm feelingsMore
Taxi pub was the most hipster place in haapsalu. Interior and athmophere were interesting. Interior was based on old things like boots hanging roof and another silly combos..Staff were also good in their Job (töömaas) . My husband ate granny style lunch and I drank...Linda apple cidre( 2€ bottle ,sugar free). Place is definitely worth to visit.More
After looking at the pics on TripAdvisor we were hesitating to go to this place. It looked too much like an Irish Pub. However, after reading the reviews we thought we give it a try. The food was good, fresh and cheap. It costs 2...euros for a pancake with cheese and ham and 4 for chicken and rice. The service was nice and the food came out fast. This is, however, not a dinner place, but it's perfect for lunch. Nothing fancy, extremely Estonian and very tasty.More
