The staff was helpful and very professional. Part of our group was gluten free and they knew everything about it. Steak ruled all the lunch. The menu is not big and that is a good sign of expecting quality food. We ordered seafood dishes, Mussels and King Prawns. Waiting time was short, 15 min or so. We shared the dishes to have a second opinions about the taste. The mussels...and prawns were cooked perfectly. The sauce to the mussels was smooth and creamy but needed heat (chilli) for my liking. However the sauce with the King Prawns had enough chilli in it and balanced the oily and otherwise heavy dish. We were already full but curious about desserts because of the pleasant experience we had with main course, so we decided to order Pavlova cake and Chocolate Foundant. The Pavlova was not too sweet and a bit sour, the raspberry "toormoos" balanced it beatifully. Coffee was outstanding. The atmosphere was bit tired but after Covid 19, I personally do not complain as restaurants have a difficult time to survive anyway. Overall, Soffa met our expectations in almost all the ways. We had dinner (Beef tenderloin) which was very, very good, accompanied by vegetables, also very good. We drunk bier and wine, based on recommendations of the chef, also very good and got a private guided tour by the chef of the nice hotel rooms. It is a nice place in the center of Haapsalu. It has restaurant room and cafe inside and in summer it has cozy seats outside too.

I had lunch here. After entering I found myself in a corridor with doors to the left, right, and a maitre'd stand in front of me, which stood empty. So I decided to poke around, I picked the right side, which happened to be the...less-formal part which was situated on the right as opposed to the left side with more formal restaurant setting. I said hello to the staff and then I found myself a seat. I was soon attended and I received the menu. I immediately noticed three misspellings in it. I settled with having salmon fillet & prawns. The dish was ready in mere 10-15 minutes, which is not surprising considering that the place was empty at that hour. The dish was good and I've no complaints about that. I soon learned that some of the staff was still learning the intricacies of working in a restaurant, that fellow at the bar sure had to teach those gals in a manner that made sure that he would be heard by everyone. This place would not be my first pick in Haapsalu. But I wouldn't mind going again.More

Visited Soffa with my boyfriend. The service was professional yet emotionless. Atmosphere was like a soviet- time 'fancy' restaurant so in my opinion, not lovely at all. Food was good but nothing gave me special emotions. I had a tuna steak with potato casserole and...he had fried octopus (or squid) with vegetables. A basket of warm bread was also served with herb butter and that was tasty. He finished the dinner with Pavlova dessert that was good but as it is one of my favorites as well, I didn't agree much. It was good to visit but probably wouldn't go back.More
Nice atmosphere and friendly staff, although not all of them seemed to speak English. We dined inside due to chilly weather but the garden also looked nice and had plenty of tables. The starters were a bit disappointing but the steaks for main course, both...tuna and beef, were cooked to perfection. Desserts also nice. Accepts reservations.More
We had a coconut soup as starter that was so good we ordered another one after we finished it. Also the mains duck, calamari and tuna steak were great, combined with beer from the tab, nice background music while siting outside and good, fast service...a full 5 star experience. We visited Soffa in December, which is very off-season in Haapsalu, and although the sign at the door said "reserved" we were invited in and served as we peeked in the windows, although it was just the two of us. The food was very tasty...and very elegantly garnished. The restaurant is stylish and spacious, great for events.More
