I am generally a culinary adventurer and am typically very forgiving of food, but I am sorry to say that I was not impressed at all with the food here. This place was referred by a local, so I had high hopes. While the menu...is extensive, I think I made some bad choices. The soup was good, but the boiled pork with sour kraut and large bread like dumplings (which are very common in Slovak cuisine) were unimpressive. I also ordered duck liver. It was overcooked liver in a brown gravy with potatoes and pickles. I did not eat much of it as I found the liver too gritty. The meal, with a glass of wine, was very inexpensive. EN: This restaurant is here since I remember. You can feel it also inside, a touch of old times is still present (interior, classic old-school garnish, selection of food) but at the end of the day it does not matter. Service is polite and fast,...food is ok, portions are really big and quite cheap - the prices are under 5€. If you don't want something fancy and you just want a full belly for a good price, this might be your place :) SK: Na Brane je tu uz nejakych par rokov. Na interiere, skladbe jedal, oblohe je to aj poznat, ale nemyslim si, ze je to vyrazne na skodu. Obsluha je mila, slusna a rychla, porcie su naozaj velke. Polievka bola vyborna. Hlavne chody pomerne chutne, nenadchnu ale nesklamu, za tu cenu rozhodne fajn! Ak nehladate vysoku gastronomiu a chcete sa len za prijemne ceny dobre najest, Na Brane posluzi velmi dobre :)More

Great Slovak pub style food. I can recommend the roast duck breast served with red cabbage and dumplings. Yum. The schnitzels were also good. Main meals priced at €5 or less. Great value.
