We didn't receive any drinks menu despite the fact that first waitress's question was what we would like to drink. Only gave us lunch menu which was sticky and overall poor quality. We have wedding over there for my fiancé daughter. It’s was amazing. Very good atmosphere, very good food and staff.
The restaurant location is spectacular, unfortunately the same does not apply to the dining experience. We spent 1,5 hours waiting for 2 beers and 2 simple meals. We had to remind the staff of our order twice and still got meals without the side orders...and even napkins - quite tricky for finger food :) We would probably be still sitting there unnoticed had we not gone to pay to the counter. Last week we had visited the trencin castle and on the way back we stumbled upon Fatima. It has a great position with views of the castle and also trencin in general, as its terrace is still quite high above the city. Well, I am...not sure what to think, possibly because it was a beautiful day, the waitresses were a bit overwhelmed? Waiting time for drinks or even to order....(at least 10 mins for a simple beer), mixing up tables as in not knowing what table ordered what and finally when paying never bringing back the change? Yes, we wanted to leave it but the correct way is to bring it back to the table and not assume or forget?...I must say, with different speed of service and attention to detail (For 2 kids bringing 2 scoops of ice cream in 1 dish?? like really??) I would gladly have given 5 stars but unfortunately my impression was quite ruined. Not a way to go, sorry.More
Little bit snobish restaurant close to castle Trencin. There is great summer terrace and very kind staff. Food wes good but overprices. Beer smell bad - maybe too old barrel.

I was pleasantly surprise to walk past Fatima restaurant on my way to the castle Burg. My table is perfectly seatedoverlooking the old picture perfect city, the surrounding green hills and the Castle overlooking the restaurant like a giant of old behind me. We hopped in for a quick lunch and they had duck fest days so I tried their duck leg and red cabbage. The meat was slightly hard but still well cooked. The cabbage and dumplings were delightful. Very good service. Our server was very sweet!...Always smiling:) The interior and exterior is beautiful. Great for family gatherings. RecommendedMore
The restaurant is in a lovely setting but the service is really slow to the point of neglectful. However the food was even worse if that's even possible. I would recommend a drink to enjoy the setting if your patient but don't waste your money...on the food.More
We came to this restaurant as we walked to the castle.It was beautiful so we decided to have lunch. The waiter told us that we can sit down anywhere.We sat down and for twenty minutes we were ignored.There were six or seven employees walking by...us constantly and not one of them said hi, can I get you a menu. We were totally ignored and there were only five or six customers at the restaurant.When I got up and went to the bar counter, where 6, yes six employees were giggling and of course ignoring me.We got up and left.More
Stopped here for wine after visiting the castle. Views are amazing, especially at dusk as the lights start to come on below and around the castle. blankets are provided as it did get chilly once the sun had gone.
Being located right under the Trencin Castle, this restaurant could be a goldmine. Unfortunately, this is not true. Interior has been turned into an awfully tacky and crowded "I want to look like Venice" wannabe, food is nothing special and the service and attitude of...their staff is unbelievable. If you want to enjoy a view over the castle, grab a takeaway coffee and walk onto the square by the church. Or stop at the other restaurant located below this one. Simply, do whatever you want, but avoid this place.More
Stopped in here for dinner on our way down from visiting the castle. Our waiter Vrato was very attentive and friendly and we enjoyed talking with him during our meal. We ordered the chicken breast with blue cheese sauce and cranberries with boiled potatoes, and...also the pierogies. We ended the meal with the Nutella pancakes with ice cream. Bill came to 21,30 Euros including wine. Very delicious meal and a good value. Views from the terrace are spectacular! Great location for special event (there was a wedding reception the night we were there) and we really enjoyed our meal and time spent at Fatima. Recommend it to anyone looking for a very special meal. Good for couples and also for families with young children.More
We were here in 2014, and had a delicious lunch on the beautiful patio, with an amazing view of Trencin. On our return in 2016, the food wasn't memorable, but the service was friendly. Still work it for the view and atmosphere.
