Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Super food. Creative, surprisingly and very delicious. Service the best we have had in any country in any restaurant. Very high quality of food and the price is absolutely adequate. We will definitely come Bach next time we are in Poprad.

The problem with the world today is that secrets don’t last long. If something special “goes viral”, before long it is inundated and spoilt. This restaurant, in a quaint little unspoilt medieval square, is a haven of peace and gastronomy. Local ingredients are cooked with...flare and passion by a very talented chef, paired with plenty of superb Slovakian wines. Yet all of this fine cuisine, that wouldn’t be out of place in the best restaurants of any major city (at four times the price), is served in the most delightful, rustic, elegant environment. To top it all off the service matches the ambience and cuisine, with a level of care, welcome and attention to detail that a business simply cannot hope to obtain if the owners are not present every night. A business cannot make you feel like you are being invited into someone’s home, if the person serving you does not own the house to begin with! I genuinely hope the Michelin guide starts covering Slovakia and gives this wonderful little restaurant the recognition it deserves ….. but perhaps in a few years time, so I can enjoy this little haven of gastronomy many more times first.More

Before this visit, we've received just positive recommendations about this restaurant. Yes, the food is extraordinary - creative, well balanced, preferring local ingredients, the lady chef was really nice after we finished she came to ask our opinion on the food. What didn't meet the...standards from our point of view was the service. We could hardly understand what the man in charge was saying about the food or restaurant, several times repetitive with the same information (about dimming lights possibility was his favorite), I had to ask few times for water refill or wine pairing advice (max 12 people in the restaurant) which came after the I was done with the course. Still great food, definitely go there when you're in the area. Be patient if you meet the elder man.More

One of the best restaurants I have ever visited. The standard of Lady Chef is absolutely comparable with any Michelin-Restaurant. The owner of the restaurant and all other service personell are extremely friendly and always there when you need them. Local food, local wines, but...you feel like somewhere in France... from the outside you wouldn’t expect this, but please give it a try!More

After a long drive, we arrived at our holiday destination in Slovakia and looked for a nice restaurant. Our hotel owner tipped us about Vino & Tapas, and we decided to go there. What a great positive surprise this was. The food was lovely and...absolutely beautifully presented. Real pieces of art. We were served by a very kind and knowledgeable waiter who could tell us the most amazing stories about the courses we were served. Afterwards the chef came to our table to answer any questions we might have. This restaurant is well worth your visit. It is a one of a kind experience I would highly recommend. I am sure we will visit again. More

We celebrated our 26th anniversary there and it was a memorable experience. The server told us the food is free of charge, that we pay for the experience. It was worth every cent! The food was unique, beautiful and absolutely delicious! The wine pairings were...generous and well selected. We will definitely return and highly recommend to anyone for special occasion or unique experience.More

We wanted to celebrate my wife's birthday and decided to do it at Vino & Tapas - this was our third visit and we reserved in advance. The food and service once again was excellent - elegant and packed full of flavour. Also, we had...some wine to go with it. We certainly hope to come back.More

I consider myself a little bit of a food snob and this is one of the best meals I've ever had! We did the full 8 course meal and it was completely worth it. It was incredibly reasonably priced, so you definitely go all out...for the 8 courses. Every course was creative, modern, with clear and deep flavor. The proprietor was incredibly kind and helpful - we loved talking with him throughout the evening as he explained the dishes and the chef's philosophy. A must visit if you're anywhere near Poprad.More
