The good points: Blues serves Pivovar Svijany beer, brewed by a small producer north of Prague. It is an extremely well crafted, and Blues is the only restaurant that I know of that serves it in Piešťany. The interior of Blues is cozy, and I like to sit near the bar's wood stove on a cold winters day. The back yard covered patio is a pleasant retreat on a hot summer day.
Blues has an open kitchen, and all food is prepared in only two ways, in the wood-burning oven, or in a sauté pan over an induction burner. I have eaten almost everything on the menu. Their borscht is excellent. The mushroom salad is unique as it features warm sautéed mushrooms. The "Caesar" salad is very, very good, although the name is very, very misleading. If you are expecting romaine / cos lettuce with actual Caesar dressing: anchovies, garlic, raw egg yolk, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, and grated Parmesan you should avoid it. The pasta sauces are also very good, particularly the spaghetti carbonara.
The pizza is wood fired, with a moderate range of toppings, including some that should never be found on a real pizza. (It would be nice to have some coppa ham, fresh mozzarella, and black olives instead of Slovak Klobása) I've had the steak a couple of times, rare, and it was great.
The bad points: You will NEVER have the same waitress or cook when you visit the restaurant. The staff turnover is unprecedented in my extensive experience. Having a new and inexperienced waitress may result in a mixed-up order, but constantly changing cooks leads to an unacceptable inconsistency in the quality of the food. On multiple occasions I have ordered something from the menu only to be told that "We have a new cook and he doesn't know how to make it". So I order a pizza. There are only two ways to ruin a pizza. Burn it, or add so much salt to the dough that it is inedible. Blues has never burned my pizzas, however, with the constantly changing cooks they all too often put enough salt in the crust to cause a stroke. The overall concept for Blues is good, but the execution is lackluster...With the stability of a professional chef, instead of amateur cooks, Blues COULD become the best restaurant in the city.

It is little bit difficult to find good restaurant without reading reviews or without knowledge of its quality, especially when you visited city for the first time. Sometimes you have to ask locals for recommendation. I did it in Piešťany. This city is well known as a very good spa area in Slovakia with a lot of tourists and spa guests. Lady at the petrol station recommends Blue restaurant near train and bus stations. Restaurant is really big and has also covered terrace. Interior of the restaurant has a pub desing which looks like "Irish pub". We had tomato soup and for main dish pizza and grilled wings. Everything was guite good, but grilled wings should be grilled on the gril not fried in the fryer.

Stopped in for lunch. The restaurant was busy but we were able to get a seat quickly. The waitress kindly brought us menus in english.
I had a pizza which had a nice thin base and plant of topping. My partner has the chicken meat with chips. Both were pretty good given the low price (my pizza was just 5EUR and pretty big. There is a larger size available but I'd say that looks big enough for two people).

Had a nice lunch with family in Blue.
The food was really tasty, prices were great and the service and nice atmosphere.
All 4 of us enjoyed our food and I'll definitely be coming back on my next visit to Piestany. :)

I come here quite often when I stay at Piestany and I always like to come back. They have a lunch menu for everyday that is always delicious but you may also want to try some of their other dishes. I love the medallions with mushroom sauce among other things. Everything I've tried there so far has been really nice. The atmosphere is also nice, with a lot of books around you and outside they have a place for children to play at during summer.

Lovely little restaurant. Great selection, delicious foods. We were a three members family and ordered different foods and it was all really good. Lots of parking outside and a separate bar. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely little place that caters for every one. A great selection on the menu as well. As a group we ordered quite a varied selection from pizza, pasta, steaks, pork and it was all really good. The kitchen is open to the restaurant which was nice. Lots of parking outside and a separate bar. Would definitely recommend.

Very good pizza and beer, Budvar with 1.30 euro/400 ml.
The disadvantage is that you clothes will smell a bit like food, because the kitchen is open and you can see the cook preparing your food.

We were walking towards the town centre after arriving in PIeštany by train, and we happened upon this gem of a restaurant. The pizza was delicious, straight from the wood-fired pizza oven, and the toppings were more generous than we have found generally in Europe. The grilled salmon salad was the best I've ever eaten, with a fruity, light dressing. We went back the next day for another pizza, and it was just as good as the day before. The atmosphere and decor are unique, with bookshelves, antiques, and even a large blue rowing scull suspended from the ceiling. We had attentive servers who had enough English to communicate with our minimal Slovak, and the menu was also in English. The prices were very reasonable as well. Great place!!

We have visited twice and I have to say the food was not bad. The salad are quite good and fresh. I had the Cesar sallad which was not spectacular but good enough to make us come back again. Friend of my had a pizza which was just ok, too dry. But we will for sure return.

I immidiately liked the decor. Loved the shelves made of dark wood filled with books, loved the cozy atmosphere. Food: salads were good:goat cheese and pear and walnut one. Pasta: not good over cooked and the tomato sauce was way too sweet. Adding sugar to tomato sauce is a HUGE mistake. In italy rhe pasta alla puttanesca is known to be very hot! This was very sweet. No good. I am italian I think I know what I am saying.

Lovely atmosphere. The de oration is great. Lots of books around on dark wooden shelves. Salads were good. Pasta alla puttanesca terrible. I am italian and I KNOW how this pasta should taste. The sauce had a sweet flavor. For some reasons people put sugar in the tomato sauce and this makes it taste like processed disgusting food. It wasnt hot as it normally is and the decoration of a slice of tomato a bit of carrit and rucola were tasteless. Finally it was a bit over cooked. Salad with goat cheese was delicious. Also the salad with pears and wallnut was delicious.
We were told that pizza are delicious. I think it s worth an other visit without te pasta!
