My family and I visited this restaurant on our way from Slovakia to Prague upon recommendation from friends and family who have visited before.
We were seated right away but shortly after us, people started piling at the door and simply had to wait, as...there was not enough seats for everyone - avoid the peak times!
The decorations are very sweet, traditional and not overdone. The colours are mild and the chairs are comfortable. Something that surprised me was the attitude of the waiting staff - many restaurants in Slovakia don't really pay much mind to their customer service - they were very friendly, approachable and they allowed us plenty of time to choose from the menu, which they also offered to us in English.
The soup on the daily menu was delicious and came along with three slices of fresh bread. We all tried a little of the bread and liked it so much we wanted to take some home but due to how busy the place was, we couldn't get one.
The halušky here is excellent and I definitely recommend them whether you're someone that likes good halušky or if you haven't tried them yet. If you're not a fan of this dish, there are plenty other classic Slovak meals as well as simple dishes that even your picky boyfriend won't scoff at.
There is something on the menu got everyone and from what we've had it was all wonderful.More
