Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Nice progressive restaurant, with fine burgers but service was really slow, every order takes them ages. Prices of drinks are little bit higher than average in Košice. Im not sure if we come back.

This is not a place for vegetarians with most of the dishes consisting of meat. But, if you want to experience the local food, go for it. The place is quite unique - it is situated in the cultural center, so there are many things happening there. Outdoors or indoors, it's always busy.

Being the cigarette warehouse back in the old days the place is very spacious and industrial type. This does not spoil the atmosphere though. The food is not cheap but you have to pay for the quality. There is a choice of 2 soups served all day long(tried several times and they are rich and good in taste) and a choice of 4 main dishes served from 11am until 3pm.One or two out of them are vegetarian. You can get burgers in the evenings.
There is also wide range of beverages there. You can get draught cider there which is not common in Kosice(although Slovakian one). You can also enjoy Zufanek spirits.
There is also a corner for children but the toys are outdated and broken. The dogs are also allowed.Just do not forget them in once you get drunk.

They don’t wait on you. But they brought me the food at least. I had to carry my drinks. You pay immediately. The waitress I ordered the food from was in very bad mood as if I was a bother, how dare I bother her with my order…and the food wasn’t good.

New era of culture in Kosice. The new Fabrik space is amazing, lunch and dinner are tasty and the concept of Taste and share in the bistro is exceptional

we visited for lunch . the food was really good and plentiful we had the quesadilla a burger and pork sandwich . all were excellent. The beer was good as was the coffee. We had a really pleasant lunch in a trendy environment although the other customers were very mixed in ages. it’s worth a visit if in Kosice as a bit different from other places.

Our host booked for 10 people, checked twice for confirmation because they seem to have a reputation on bad organisation and after double confirmation we arrived there to find the place was reserved for a company event. I can't say it's terrible as we actually could not have diner but definitely a poor rating for organisation. The site where the bistro is part of is pretty interesting though so worth checking out. too bad we didn't get a chance to have diner.

We came for a lunch menu. It was around 1 PM. The lunch menu is served between 11 AM and 3 PM. So I wouldn't say we were too late but...2 out of 3 main dishes from the menu were already unavailable. OK. So we were late then. In that case I would suggest to change the time of serving lunch menu when 67% of it is already sold out after 2 hours of serving.
The waitress who came over with the menus didn't bother to inform us what is left from the menu until we asked ourselves. Not very professional.
No smile, no greetings when you enter the bistro or when you're leaving - again, not professional and welcoming at all.
So we ordered from the special menu, we weren't interested in Spag Bolognese which was the only option left from lunch menu.
My husband ordered Mexican sweet potatoes loaded fries (sweet potato fries, chipotle crema, bean, jalapeňo, coriander, guacamole, red onion, cheddar, lime) - very good portion, he liked it a lot, I tried it as well and it was good.
Me and my dad ordered Cheese quesadilla with fries, guacamole (vegetarian mexican mushroom stew with pepper, coriander, cheddar, gouda, tortilla)
That was a big disappointment. It looked like a very poor pancake filled with melted cheese. No mushroom, no pepper, all I could see was a bit of beans, carrots and sweetcorn. It tasted just after the melted cheese with a bit of coriander. Not worth the money and time we were waiting for the mains.
When you sum up the service, the waiting time, the fact that what we wanted to order was already gone and prices - I don't know where they took the good reviews from.
Maybe their evening burgers are good, but after today's visit I'm not eager to go back any time soon. Unfortunately, as it has an atmosphere.

OK, I wanted to order a burger but the meet at already run out for burgers. And that was a blessing in disguise. I went with the BLC sandwich, and it was a great decision. Bacon chicken some other stuff you can see from the picture, along with a nice little artistisan salad. Great service combined with great food prepared in an open air kitchen. I’ll be back... and under 6 euro.....woooow.

I like bistro tabacka but 50℅ of the time they are out of food. They usually only have burgers available.

I've been at Tabacka loads before but this was my first time eating at the bistro. I honestly love it here usually. Think it's a great place to go when they have events on as they play music you would not find anywhere else in Kosice. However I was a bit disappointed with the food. I had a vegetarian burger which was a bit soggy but overall taste of the patty was very good. However the bun was honestly just overpowering. My boyfriend got a regular beef burger and he also said the same about the bun. It looked like they bake it there, which I really appreciate, but it was just really cakey. There was also no vegan alternative to mayo or cheese which was understandable but a bit disappointing as I had previously thought this place catered to vegans as well. I however loved the presentation and the fries and garlic dip that came with it. Over all not terrible but also not that exciting. Won't be coming back for dinner but might come back during the day to try out some of the other items on the menu which weren't served in the evening anymore but sounded really good. Staff was really pleasant :)

This old tobacco factory is a cultural centre as well as a Bistro/Bar.
The bar is a long building with a red brick interior and is quite factory/industrial looking with lots of metal beams and furnishings.
We visited on our last night in Kosice and really enjoyed a few hours there. It was lively and buzzy and people of all ages....although I think we were the only Brits.
The tofu burgers and chips we both had to eat were very good, although I would probably have been tempted to try the vegan vegetable and coconut curry with rice, but it wasn't on the menu by the time we arrived.
There was table service from the bar staff, although there seemed to be separate staff serving the food, and as it was a very busy evening it did take a little while to be served. We were actually sitting in the children's area though, as all the other seats (and there were lots of them) were occupied.
There appear to be plenty of activities going on in the Tabacka centre, but we didn't venture any further than the bar area. Would definitely recommend it as a place to visit for a meal and drinks.
