Really lovely old building set deep inside stone arches with a large steel door to entry. Feels like being transported back in time 100 years, with a cozy cottage vibe. The service was prompt and the food was delicious. The garlic soup was very willing...with large chunks of melty Gouda at the bottom. The chicken thighs wrapped around bacon dumplings were fantastic with a rich creamy pepper sauce. Be sure to pair with the Frankovca Modrá.More

The service was friendly & concise throughout, inc recommendations & explAnation of the dishes & the beers. I started with Loksa, a traditional dish...of meat & cheese fill in rolled flatbread. There are two of them and they were almost a full meal in themselves. My main dish was duck, a few tender slices served on a purée of onions, with tasty chopped celery & grilled potatoes. Delicious. Again, a big portion. The restaurant is upstairs in a building in OldTown. Connected to a pension (hotel). It is a very friendly place, not trying to be modern or fancy.More

This is a lovely restaurant in the heart of the town. Great service and great food. We had a starter of Duck Pate with Potato Bread and Ginger & Pear Coulis followed by mains of Duck with Beetroot Puree with Plums in Rum and Potato...Strudel and Pork Tenderloin with Cheesy Mash & Mushrooms. Kind and professional staff, nice and good quality dishes, well prepared. Total bill was bit expensive, almost 200 euros for 4 people with a plancha for 2+4 dishes, 2 expresso, 3 slivo, 1 bottle prosseco

We were sat away from the main restaurant which suited us as there was a large group of females celebrating a birthday. The waiter who took our order was attentive in the beginning but soon forgot about us with all the attention given to the...big table group. The lemonade drink was one that I would recommend albeit a little too sweet. However, we asked for ice and the waiter brought a large glass of ice which we used to dilute the drink. It made the drink go a long way. A mix of lemonade with mint, lemon and lime slices and a generous helping of cucumber slices. Our main course were chicken and duck. Both were delicious and generous in portion size. For dessert we shared the chestnut cake with chocolate cream. This was dense and heavy following a large meal. The restaurant was decorated as shown in the picture. Large tables for 2 but better than being sqeezed into tight spaces. The service was ordinary and not very warm or friendly.More

We were sitting around for several minutes until the waiter finally took the order of a coffee, forgot part of the order, never said sorry, acted arrogant. Thanks, no thanks.

A nice place and atmosphere of traditional Slovak food, great service decent priced for what they offer, so much to choose from. A diamond in the rough, you have to locate it among the town square but ask anyone where it is..Worth the find.
