The waiter was kind. The atmosphere was traditional and welcoming.The foods we tried tasted excellent and the portions were that huge we can’t even finished them. We also tried the special flavoured beers, they were unique and delicious.

We returned here after COVID19 and everything was perfect again. We sat outside in nice weather and we had a fantastic lunch as usual. The waitress was friendly and fast, we could order from menu (English-Hungarian-Slovakian languages). The food and draft beer was delicious, prices are resonable. I highly recommend it.

I liked our evening here at Staromestska. I am vegetarian and although the options were limited, I had a good meal. My partner had the chicken schnitzel and said was delicious. We shared the chocolate pancakes with cream and they were tasty. Good options if you want something traditional. I liked the interior and the staff were very friendly.

We used to Come here every year during the summer during our holiday. Last year one of the best experiences in Košice. This year the most horrible. Waiter did not bring us the menus, expecting we know what we want to drink. After asking for menu we were told that there is a menu on the blackboard and if we want regular menu it will take at least one Hour. During ordering drinks He take no attention to us and every question was answered in a manner we are disgusting him, standing not facing us and looking around. It took him 10 minutes to Come for order of drinks, another 10 minutes to bring the drinks, another 10 minutes to finally bring menus (after new tabel with high society looking men came a d get menus immediately, also they ordered food before us thanks to better servise giving to them). Another 15 minutes to Come to ask if we would order food. I need to tell we had 5 y o hungry child with us and it was 30 °C outside. We are common looking family from czechia and unfortunately we all worked in the customer service. I can understand There could be more customers at the moment, but still this kind of horrible and ignoring service is not acceptable for us. Never again

National cuisine, large portions. Disgusting service(. One bartender and one waitress who doesn't do her job at all. The order was expected for about an hour and a half, and eventually the waitress forgot two portions of the salad, and just said it was abruptly over. The food is tacky. Maybe it's coincidental, since everyone's reviews here are great. But we're not going back to this place.

Really excellent local food. They had most of the items listed in guide books as the local food of Kosice. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the indoor and outdoor tables were comfortable, the menu was reasonable extensive. The prices were good. The quality of the food was exceptional, and the size of portions was good (it was difficult to finish a soup and a main dish!). The beer selection was good, we also tried the local spirit (borovička - worth a try!). This is a great place for couples, and small or large groups. The Tripadvisor rating is number 10 in the city, other guides put it at number one (I would put it certainly in the top 2 or 3). Highly Recommended!

We went there based on the TripAdvisor reviews. We had a plate for two and a beer.
The food was good, the service was friendly. The overall location is nice and directly next to the main street in the old town including a nice and big christmas market.
To summarize, it is nice location, but nothing special.

We chose this restaurant for lunch based on the Tripadvisor reviews. It was not bad but we will not return. The food was ok, I ordered pork with cabbage, my husband chose bryndzove halusky, the portions were just huge, we managed to eat half of it at most (there could have been more bacon chips on the halusky because frankly, halusky without bacon is not much fun).
Service is terrible, we waited at least 20 minutes for the waitress to show up...

Good choice of food on the menu at reasonable prices
The pork Snitchzel was a good choice. Food prices good.
Drink prices only fair. The half liter of beer was €2.5 and large glass of wine €3.2. No cheap jug of wine. But its on the main square so expect minin increase to watch the world go by. Not very busy early evening

I think this is one of the best and the most cosy restaurant in Kosice. We have been 3 times here with our friends. The food was delicious: from the starter to the main course. We liked the traditional noodles with cottage cheese 'Strapacski' and the bean gulash was good, too. The waitress was so friendly and kind, she (Nikolett) speaks Hungarian very well and she was smiling. The service was fast and correct. The prices are resonable. We will come back again!
