Typical Slovak restaurant in a quiet place.

This is a typical Slovak restaurant with local hearty food and several draft beers. They have also small inner yard for sitting outdoor in good weather.

Efficient, Good, good price

I arrived very late and waiters welcomed me perfectly with a lot of care. A place where local people meet to drink together. They have menu in English. Drinks are at the right level. Kitchen close at 10pm.

extremely inpolite, waited over an hour for the food ad then it was cold. the white wine was warm and they just put it on the table - closed. when we mentioned that this is no way to treat guests, they snapped at us.

Last time I was in that restaurant when about 8 yrs. old. I was surprised after visiting from Australia that the decor hasn't changed, all renovated though and all as I remembered, It was great. The food and service excellent. Keep up the the great tradition of 12 Apostles.

Bruschetta = loaf bread w/ chopped cheese/tomoatoes thrown on?

There are places who take food seriously and those that don't. Our meal started with Bruschetta that was pretty much the 10 year olds interpretation of what it is... store loaf bread barely toasted with chopped cheese and tomatoes mixed on. I've been to place half as expensive who server up seriously good Bruschetta... The meat I ordered was dry (ribs) but my wife's dish of Fish and Spinach was decent. The wine was also good. I'd say the place is pretty hit or miss with the food but the service was alright. For the prices and considering they offer some higher quality game meats I am glad I didn't take the risk on... I'd consider other locations in town.

If you haven't been there just yet- GO! The place is a fantasy - fantasy on the plate and all around you! Dishes are seasonal and the atmosphere is really one of a kind! We will be back very soon!

Nice restaurant we enjoyed the food and beer

We went three, resturant was completely empty, waiter was fast, food for two of us o.k., one claimed that the meat was raw, immediately they took the food and make him probably in steamer reach accurate taste. I would recommend.

The oldest Slovakian restaurant

12 Apostolov is a nice restaurant in a historical buildning with wonderful historical interior decoration. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They have a good selection of regional meals as well as international ones. We had regional meal called "halušky" for our dinner. They were one of the best ones I ever ate.

The banquet is incredibly good value

We're a young Aussie couple and we were looking for a cheap meal in Kosice near our hotel. In short, the "The Hunting Feast" for €9.90 which includes an entree, duck soup, a choice of deer main meals, and desert was an absolute bargain. The food was delicious. The waiter was really attentive too. We were really pleasantly surprised. This place really must've lifted its game because we had a wonderful experience and earlier reviewers on here did not. Try it out.

Perfect Mittel-European restaurant

Well-furnished restaurant with a Mittel-European atmosphere. A wide choice of regional dishes. The choice of wines is limited to a red and a white one, but the white was a marvellous Muskat Moravsky. The only negative remark: at 9.25 p.m. the kitchen was closed and we could not have our sweets ... Tipically Slovak.

Interesting theme, nice food

We enjoyed a good steak and seasonal salad here. Love the idea of 12 apostols (there is a table named after every apostol). Foodstyling could be more creative but still a good food. I am afraid I got frozen vegetables a side. There still is less and less places that use fresh products to satisfy their customers. Sorry...
