We have stopped here just for drinks. Beer was very good, slivovica strong. It is a place with nice history. Either inside or outside you can feel different climate.

went a couple of time’s on recent trip. nice beer . we sat outside and this is a good place to people watch as there is a small market out front. you can see the brewing inside the bar. worth a visit hen is kosice
The brewery pub looks a bit tatty from outside but dont be put off, the beers are great. Most if not all under €1.80 for 0.5L. We stayed too long to eat elsewhere so ordered what everyone else was eating - a shared platter of...cold meats, mustards, horseradish and bread served on a wooden board. Perfect.More
We really liked this place and are glad we followed recommendations from TA. Friendly, helpful staff took a picture of us in front of the Golem sculpture just inside the door and showed us where their delicious beer is made. The decor is really quirky...and lovely but we sat outside and enjoyed the peace and quiet away from the bustle of the city centre. Our food was lovely and freshly prepared and we would definitely visit again when in Kosice.More
A lovely little pub, with friendly staff. I’m here with my boyfriend who lives here, he took me there as he claims it to be the ‘best fried cheese in Town’ and I can quite believe it! Really tasty!
Whilst at the Ice Hockey World Championship we visited here after reading about it on this site. We were greeted by a lovely, polite young lady who said we could choose where we sat. We opted for a table next to the windows looking in...to the brewery. She explained their locally brewed beers and made recommendations. She gave us menus whilst she fetched our order. The main menu was in Slovakian and English but we were also offered the local lunch special. The young lady, I apologise as I have forgotten her name, translated the local menu and explained the traditional dishes. We both opted for the lunch special which was soup and a main course. The soup was a mixture of vegetables, pasta etc and was hot and delicious. Our mains were fried cheese and chips with salad, and pork with cheese and wedges. All of it delicious and both meals costing a total of 13euros! The waitress was really friendly and kept returning to the table to talk to us about her visits to the UK, that was until her boss wagged his finger and called to her. A lovely atmospheric place frequented by locals with excellent service, food and beer.More
Following the tip from Trip Adviser, we made the trip to Pivovar Golem in between games at the World Ice Hockey Championships. The walk was well worth it...Penne Pasta in a cream and Broccoli Sauce, Chicken and Veg, Salad, and 2 Apple Strudel and Cream,...Beer, Coffee and water for under $50 Australian. The Penne Pasta dish was given the "best ever" by my wife....More
We went there for dinner, but decided to leave after a glas of one of the best local beers. Unfortunately we did not find a mark, but beer is recommendable! My colleagues believe that‘s best in town.
Stopped in for a beer then decided to eat as well. Food was very reasonably priced and absolutely delicious. Service was good. Inside is air-conditioned which was a welcome relief on such a hot day. Beer was also very nice. Would certainly return.
Thank you😊
Nice interiors, local beer and snacks to go with it - try beef tongue with horseradish dip - it's a dream :)
- Not the best place for lunch but it's a nice pub/bar - They serve their own beer - Near city center - Cheap prices - Food was ok, average - English speaking staff, English menu - Nice Golem statue - Drunk people at the...bar in the middle of the dayMore
Visited with friends as part of a post-wedding pub-crawl. Situated in the back-streets of the historic centre. Cavernous interior serving a range of their own brewed lagers and ales. Recommend for all real beer enthusiasts.
Both their beer and food never disappointed in 10 years I am occasionally visiting. It's simply Kosice's classic that you should try. But obviously, in the evening it's crowded.
Really good home made beer, stuff nice and friendly, interesting story of Golem & Golem statue at the entrance to the restaurant
I wanted to try some local beer so I found this place. I have to say, that the beer was really amazing!! Food was good but nothing special.
