Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

During our walk through the city center, we came across this somewhat remote cafe. The mixture of antique and cafe appealed to us, so we decided to drink a cafe there and did not regret it! You could almost call this small cafe an insider tip. We sat outside, but it is also worth a look inside.

Great coffee at a very reasonable cost and even better atmosphere! Surrounded by antiques in a very unique place Completely enjoyed my visit, one of the highlights of my day in Bratislava! Highly recommended!

The atmosphere was great, nice coffee and tasty Slovak desserts. The cafeteria also has a part of antiques for selling and some of the stuff is really interesting.

We went to this bar to drink a coffee in peace and we found a bad service. The girl who served us was grumpy and very rude. I do not recommend this bar

This a great find location just on the edge of city centre! The coffee was lovely and the ambiance and the docor was really cool. Like having a drink in the quirky museum. And you fancy buying some of the artwork, it is also possible.

We found this little place which is on the edge of the old town and it is a little gem well worth a visit. Great coffees, cakes look good and this cafe has a full drinks menu. Its a quirky little cafe and its unique to sit amongst all the antiques which are for sale. The background music is relaxing and adds to the ambience. Good prices and the lady owner was very pleasant and welcoming.

What a great find! We originally ran inside trying to escape the autumn rain, but decided to stay and enjoyed a few beers, Aperol Spritz and wine. We loved the uniqueness of the place and enjoyed looking around amongst the pretty, antik items. Perfect stop on your city tour, breaking up your walk for a recharging drink or cake.

Another gem of a recommendation from our guide to stop on our long Walking Tour to try out local Slovak pastries. The place is great and it’s decor is to die for. The owner it seems collects World War 2 artifacts and decorates her cafe with them. We were given traditional Slovak pastry with poppy seeds in the middle. Forgot what it was called. But it was great. Would surely recommend you to spend some time here if you are around. It seems all the World War 2 artifacts are for sale. So you can even check them out.

Our experience was destroyed by incredibly arrogant guests. 1 table with 1 chair free, however it seemed to be impossible to find the other free chair for my husband. When asking at 2 tables with obviously free chairs, the answer was rude NO. And the reason why? There were a least 5 free chairs not taken by anyone, however they served for handbags, for a dog to sit, or simply to take comfortable position with feet up on the chairs.. Of course I would accept, if they reserve it for friends, who come later, however we have seen the people from those 2 tables, who refused to help with chair - leaving, so obviously it was just their arrogance and lack of polite ad human behavior! I believe the staff should be able to influence this experience - otherwise they risk they loose other guests!

Cafe L'Aura is a cafe bar we've been to on a few occasions over the years and we've always enjoyed ourselves and so it proved on our latest visit. The cafe looks superb, it's got a cosy ,querky interior with great decor and furnishings and despite its relatively small size plenty of seating options spread throughout this cafe bar both inside and when the weather is good outside looking out onto the busy and bustling area around this cafe,it's just a great place to unwind in. Before visiting the wonderful Bratislava Castle we dropped into here for a quick coffee, greeted warmly by a very pleasant member of staff who took our order of a flat white coffee each, these were served steaming hot, we just chilled out and took in the great cafe bar we were in. The coffee served here is spot on, you can tell they use quality ingredients in their coffee and take great pride in the coffee they serve. We really enjoyed our coffee's in here before we moved on and as on every other visit to here we had a great time. Cafe L'Aura is easy to locate on Rudnayovo Námestie, it's right by St Martin's Cathedral. A wonderful cafe bar in a great location and well worth checking out if your in the area.

Situated down the hill for the castle and near the ikon town square, Cafe L 'Arua is a nice polka to sit and unwind with a drink after walking around the city. Reasonable prices with Prosecco about 2.20 a glass. Inside is a bit like an antiques shop, lots of character and recommended
