Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Sadly, it was my first and last time visiting this place. The service was the average Slovak style (neither good nor terrible), but the lady who served us could have benefitted from some basic customer service training. As a large group of people meeting after...many years, we had new arrivals constantly joining us and ordering either food or drinks. The waitress seemed to be bothered whenever we ordered just a beer or a single dish, and at one point, we thought she was about to punch us if we didn't order more at once. As a local, I was surprised to pay €5.50 for a small, rather cold beef stock soup, but I'll chalk that up to inflation. The final straw came when some members of the group had to leave early and wanted to pay for their own food and drinks. We were told that we couldn't split the bill and that one person had to pay for everything and the rest we had to arrange between us... At first, I thought that was a joke, but sadly, this was the establishment's policy. If this policy is in place, why not inform large groups beforehand so that they can plan their orders accordingly?More

Hello, we are terribly sorry for your bad experience in our restaurant. As for splitting the bill, it is a decision from the management as it had caused the issues before and it slows the waiter down a lot. Thank you for your understanding.

We visited here twice during our recent weekend trip to Bratislava. The drinks were good and reasonably priced and initially there was a welcoming atmosphere. The barman was in fact quite friendly. However on both occasions we found the waitresses to be rude. It costs...nothing to smile or even say thank you. One of them, I’m not sure if she was the manager, she was sat on a stool at the bar and seemed to be giving orders, was extremely unpleasant.More

Excellent location, interesting atmosphere, nice food and good beer! All recommendations! It tends to be a little crowded in the evening, so probably needs reservation.

The menu here is extensive and they have some interesting choices, including a chicken liver dish and schnitzel which me and my friend both enjoyed. They also brew their own beer which is definitely worth a try. The restaurant is large so you shouldn’t have...an issue getting seated if you haven’t booked in advance. Whilst the food was good, the service was slow and I regularly had to go up to the bar to ask for something. Overall, we felt there are probably better value places to eat in Bratislava but it’s still worth a visit if you want some locally brewed ale and local dishes.More

i used to be a regular visitor - mainly because I really like the beer and the ribs used to be one of the best in Bratislava. also other traditional food is pretty good... however, the issue always has been the staff... lack of attention,...being rude, endless waiting times... given the prices, I'd expect more. but the food's been really good!More

Arrogant staff. Arrived with a newborn, staff were arrogant and rude and inhospitable. Food was ok, but similar to many other restaurants in the area. Better to avoid.

My boyfriend and I ate here for dinner one evening. I had the grilled pork tenderloin with garlic and blue cheese sauce and a nice cold beer, while my boyfriend had a sausage and fries. The service was great (they offered English menus as soon...as we sat down) and the food was delicious. It’s a little walk from the city center, but not too far. Close to the blue church, so you could stop by there before or after you eat.More

One of the lovely things about Europe is that you are never far from especially good food. And the fabulously tender and smoky-sweet chili spare ribs here are a good case in point. People in Venice, Warsaw, Munich, Zagreb and Vienna are barely a couple...of hours away from this wonderful brewery and restaurant in the heart of Bratislava. It is worth the trip. And the beer? Well this part of the world gave us lager after all! The Bratislavsky Leziak (lighter, lager type) was delicious. There is a darker beer too. Outside the door in the park, a little dog was rolling on his back and enjoying the evening sunshine. Having devoured the ribs and licked all my fingers, I think I know how he feels.More

Service at 0 level. Unpolite and rude waitresses. It took 30 minutes to receive a menu in English after asking the many times. Afterwards I asked politely 5 or 6 times to order and another 40 minutes have passed and she didn't come. So it...seems that foreigners are not welcome in the restaurant. The locals who came with me were served immediately and have finished their dishes before I ordered.More
