Underground Tea Room is literally like a cool breeze in the summer heat. A magical little oasis where you can hide from the dazzling sunlight. The service was irreproachable and everything we tasted was more delicious than we expected. I ordered lavender tea with honey...and some waffles with caramel and I would recommend this combination wholeheartedly to everyone. 💝 Important note: When we were here we could only pay in cash.More

Very unique experience visiting this tea room, the atmosphere is very intimate and you can choose from a lot of teas all over world. I have chosen a tea from Morroco, but you can also have something little to eat.Good prices and what is interresting,...if you are in mood, they have chess there and some other games you can play during trinking your tea. Maybe it could be a little bit bigger, but it is very smart as it is now. So, if you visit Bratislava, don't forget to see this tearoom.More

We were staying in an apartment opposite the tea room, and felt we had to go being tea drinkers. I have never seen such an array of teas available anywhere, and the tea menu tells you it can take a while for the teas to...be served. When we ordered the lovely young lady explained the teas, that were ordered, and we didn't wait long for them to be served. Not sure what bunker we were in, except that it had a very hippy feel to it, which we all enjoyed. We also tried the homous snack and another Slovakian snack which were very enjoyable. Due to the signage we thought we were going into a WW2 bunker, but the lady told us the bunker was one of over 300 bunkers in the city, that fortunately were never used, but built for the people during the Cold War, something that we had not thought of. Nice discovery, one of a kind place, good products, cool staff. One room = one country. Plus I am not claustrophobic :)

4 of us located the Underground Tea Room just as it was opening. We met one of the owners and she promptly invited us in. Upon entering you descend stairs (it's ok they are well lite) to a depth of over 30 feet below street...level. There are over a dozen room all differently decorated. We look at sever of the rooms before making our choice and submitting our order. This tea room was originally built as a BOMB SHELTER. The place could hold over 40 people and provide safety due to its depth below the surface incase there was a bomb attack. There was a kitchen, washroom (it's free) as well as a secondary entrance/exit in case of an emergency. The owner was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the place as well as the numerous bomb shelters that are throughout the city. We spent more than an hour here speaking to other visitors that arrived and exploring the many different rooms. We met two young ladies who were backpackers who said this was there 3rd time they had stopped in during their visit to Bratislava. By the time we were ready to leave several other people had dropped in to enjoy the Tea/Coffee and pastry which we found to be very very good. This is a place you do not want to miss.More

after getting hyped up about going here i wasn't disappointed. the menu is very extensive and enjoyed a rare Puer. Ignore the complaints about slow service, the tea comes ready prepared and if you know tea then you know it takes time to do it...properly. Definitely one for tea fanatics! From my impression this is definitely -the- chilled hang out for queer/LGBT/alt Bratislavans and felt comfortable here. I would recommend booking a table/booth as all the cosy booths had gone by the time we arrived and there's some games to play which goes well with supping tea! The staff were friendly and spoke English. Highly Recommend!More

We spotted the Underground Tea Room sign on a cold wet day. An interesting quirky space in a bomb shelter. Is a tea room with several themed rooms, each based on a place where tea is grown -India, China, Africa etc.

+ Really cosy place with interesting design + Good location in the city, easy to find + Big and creative menu with lots of tea options - Very slow service. We came here (2 people) when there wasn't much people and waited for the menu...around 10 minutes. It is too long for such a small place. When we ordered tea (it was really tasty), there was not even a small packet of sugar or spoons or paper napkins, whatever. Waiting for the menu took too long so we had to ask for the check personally at the bar and leave.More

We stumbled upon this heavenly place because it was raining, cold & wet outside. The board said enjoy tea in a real former bunker. I was expecting a cafe, but this is nothing of the sorts. They have different small rooms with different names. Nepal....India, Africa, China & Orient. Each room is decorated as per it's country/region. You don't sit on chairs but on cushions or couches & you really relax yourself even before the tea arrives. They have a massive list of various different types of tea, ranging from black to red to white to green & covering all sources in the world. They also have snacks, but their teas are obviously the highlight. This is not a place where you go to have a quick cuppa, but a place you go to relax & enjoy, irrelevant of what time of day or year. I love what you guys are doing. Please keep it up. I'll be back :-)More
