We were here twice, because first we didn’t choose the best, and the brekfast looked good on the menu. There is no foreign language menü. The service is very bad both times. Shouldn’t have come back.. the food was good.
Beautiful place, we love the food and coffee there. The location is great. Staff is very friendly. The goats cheese salad is my favorite.
Amazing place!! Best coffee and brunch in Bratislava!! Nice service!!! Nice view!! I recommend it 👌🏼
We visited this place early in the morning for a quick breakfast before exploding Bratislava. I had the French Toast with bacon and eggs and my boyfriend had the sunny side up eggs with bacon. Both were DELICIOUS,! The portions were big enough to keep...us full till the late afternoon after a very long walk. Totally recommended place !More
Worst restaurant ever - avoid! Ordered the poached eggs which came out barely cooked and ice cold. That was after waiting almost a half hour in a largely empty cafe. Complained, staff smirked and never apologised, they accepted were not cooked but were not bothered....I never complain but this was easily the worst brunch I have ever had in my life. Do not waste your money.More
We visted other restaurants in this franchise and we knew they have tasty breakfasts. In this particular local, hoverever, the service was terrible. My fresh Orange Juice tasted weirdly bad, half of the glass was just foam. They decided to charge 3.80 instead of 1.90...for that very juice because "we always go double" even though in menu they have only one variant. It's ridicilous. Turist trap. Avoid the local on Panska Street. There are planty of better Mondieu locals in the area.More
It seemed like a nice cozy and friendly place at first so me and my friend went ahead and decided to have our coffee there. Within the first 20 seconds we sat down an unfriendly waiter which knew almost no english came to us and...asked if we were ready and we politely said not yet. He obviously couldnt understand as he kept staring at us. He said something in slovenian so we repeated awkwardly : not yet we will call you he replied : coke? we responded : no no coke we will call you in a bit. (unconsciously i made a move with my hands when i said “a bit” ) which for a person with no knowledge of english could be translated as small, and for him it equaled an espresso, so he said Espresso???? and as my friend figured out that he doesnt understand a single word of english she tried with her body language as with her words to say “NOTHING YET”. He left angry and as we were looking at the menu he comes back with a coke. When he brought it i instantly gave it back and said “no coke” and he left even more annoyed than he was before. So he took the coke to his colleague behind the bar. After that he comes out the bar and he goes to the place where the cokes are stored, he grabs one and he waves it to his colleague, making fun of us saying “i want coke but no coke” thinking that we wouldnt hear. We instantly stood up and left that store. As long as youre a foreigner who wants to be treated with respect its certain you wont find that there. There are so many stores with polite staff who make you happy to be spending your money there cause theyre worth it. As long as these people are working there i wouldnt suggest at all that you consider visiting this shop at all. Afterall there are so many ways to communicate with a person, all he had to do was be a little patient and we could have showed him what we would like from the catalog.More
We were walking around the old town and stumbled across this very cozy and cute cafe. Had such good breakfast, that we had to come back and ended up having breakfast there each day of our stay! Service was great, food was delicious, great value...for money. Location is also great and it was so cozy in cold February!More
We stumbled across this eatery on our first day in Bratislava. We liked it so much that we ended up going there almost every morning for breakfast! You cannot miss their amazingly divine hot chocolate! Their hot chocolate does not contain added milk, but simply...rich and thick melted Belgian chocolate which you can choose in any combination! I chose the mixed milk and white chocolate, the milk chocolate with forest fruits and the white chocolate with roasted hazelnuts. Simply a highlight on its own! Then we opted for the following breakfasts: the Savoury French toast served sith bacon, egg and maple syrup and the Sweet French Toast served with forest fruits and maple syrup. The brioche bread was the best I've ever had and simply addictive. We took these almost daily. For sweets we tried their cheesecakes and croissant. These were also perfect, the chocolate cheesecake and Poppyseed Cheesecake being our favourite! Great service and awesome ambiance. Everything delivered with finesse. Always jam packed and slightly pricey, but soooo worth it!More
I visited this place in the afternoon (11.8.2021), i heard many nice reviews about their breakfast. Unfortunately my experience wasn't positive...we ordered Aperol Spritz, croissant with cheese and ham. The drinks were very bad (i suppose the bartender is not professional but what is complicated...about aperol spritz?) The 3 waitresses were VERY SLOW! They were constantly chatting at the bar, neglecting the guests. We waited first 15 minutes until we were able to order and then additional approximately 30 minutes for getting the drinks we orderes.... although not even half of the tables were occupied. I hope the next time the staff will be changed, i believe it's a nice place with good location and great potential....More
+ Quality of food and drinks + Friendly staff - way too expensive for what you get We ordered two pieces of cake. All cakes offered are 4.4€. This is quite expensive for a cake. But we knew this in advance. What surprised us though...was the size of the pieces - tiny. It is ok to sell a cake for this price but then the piece should have a reasonable size. Like this it felt like a rip-off. No good experience.More
Great breakfast, very nice and helpful server. Ale the ingredients were fresh and delicious. Avocado spread was tasty, and so was the salad.
Great breakfast, big selection of cheesecake and lemonade. Would recommend it. Worth paying a visit.
Great service. Not so thrilled with our order and certainly the one we visited could use a refreshment help. There are though a couple of other "Mondieu"s who look much better.
