We were recommended to try this place by the Hotel Reception so we could experience Traditional Slovakian Food and Beer. The Atmosphere was good. We left our waitress to recommend what we should eat. She recommended 2 soups, one of which was the Ghoulash which was really good. The main course was the Slovakian sharing board of 3 dishes, nice to have tried but we would not reorder. For sweet and we really needed a sweet taste after the main dish we had a Strudel which was really good and a Slovak flatcake with poppyseeds which was not. The beer was strong, good and cheap. The whole meal including 2 beers each was only €42 so not expensive at all. We wanted to try Slovak food, we liked some bits , not others but you will never know until you try. Give it a Go , see what you think.

We were a pretty large party of people around 15 to be exact. I have been here a few time purely for the atmosphere when it is busy....the buzzzz, the noisy vibey buzz, you see. But everytime I / we come here I / we moan about the unfriendly, unsmiling staff who are completely indifferent to your needs. Such a shame that this level of service is still rife here in Slovakia. That said, the food is GR8 and pretty much everything on the menu is worth a bash with prices standard for a capital city tourist restaurant. I can say that I have never had a bad meal here apart from the one time that the pork ribs I was served were a little dry. Was not worth complaining about as the awesome beer washed my sorrows away. Copious amounts of "pivo" helps end the day. Enjoy your meal and ignore the shoddy standard of service and apathetic servers....don't let that spoil a great venue to enjoy a tasty Slovak meal. And, yes, I continue to go there the grumpy staff!

We went here on recommendations from our tour guide and local uber driver. It gets busy so there's a good atmosphere with plenty to see. You can't book a table after 7pm on line but as we had called in on our way through they kindly reserved one for us to come back to later in the evening. The food is good and there's a selection of local Slovak food, all reasonably priced. Definitely worth a visit.

Avoid this restaurant if You dont like being offered horrible and expensive food and the worlds worst service. It is a disgrace to the customers if You expect them to pay for continously being offended by f.... waiters that would better fit in the morgue than in a restaurant. Meat without taste, dry as wood. Bread to the food that was more than 3 days old, and You wait more than an hour for food, although the restaurant is only half empty... advice to owners: close down!

This place is good for it's location and price. But, expect to wait a long time for a table. It's a conveyor belt type of service. Get them in, get them out. They also brew and sell their own beer! Draught Beer 0.5l = €2.20 Coca Cola Can = €1.80 Chardonnay = €1.10 Garlic Soup = €4.50 Chicken Schnitzel = €5.90 Chips x 2 = €1.80 each = €3.60 Sausage = €5.90 Extra Pickles = €1.50 Cabbage Soup = €3.50 Total = €30

We live in Bratislava and we brought to this place a couple of friends that came to visit us. While the food was good (we already knew that), the service was terrible. In particular, a waiter treted us very badly, almost refusing to clean the table before we sat and most importantly ignoring the request of my wife who has gluten allergy (he actually brought her meat on bread and once we asked to replace the dish, he just removed the bread, leaving the meat contaminated and refused to replace the dish). Furthermore he was pushing on us to end the dinner by bringing us the bill at 10pm while the closing time specified on the entrance door was 12pm. Before leaving, we reported everything to the supervisor. The place is great, some people working there less.

I believe they claim to be the biggest restaurant in Bratislava (if not the whole Europe) and they are not kidding… The place is huge. They have seating outside and multiple rooms inside, including a huge hall with tables. The service was excellent. Alenka was very attentive and professional. She got our food out quickly and she was very knowledgeable about the menu to make good suggestions. We ordered a ton of food, since we wanted to taste a bit of as many traditional Slovakian food as possible, and our bill was 67 euro. For drinks we had house red and local beer; everything delicious. We tried sheep cheese gnocchi, sheep cheese pierogi, garlic soup in a bread bowl, duck thigh with cabbage and potato pancakes, sirloin in cream sauce with a slice of a dumpling and strawberry potato dumplings for dessert. Everything was fresh and tasted very good. Overall, a nice, hearty meal.

I found it a very touristy place and a bit pricey. This is my first impression. Also staff is not friendly at all. At least I communicated 3 staff but none of them was nice. It is interesting to visit the old and historical building, though. Entrance area is decorated very nicely. Entire space is very interesting, which makes you remind you that it used to be theather. As I wasn't hungry very much, I ordered cabbage soup but it is very disappointing. Portion is small and very salty.  Ihad had another cabbage soup near Devin Castle, which was far better and bigger. No reson to visit there again for me even if atmosphere is good.

We chose this restaurant for our first night in Bratislava based on reviews, but I must say we were rather underwhelmed. I had a traditional sausage with a salad and my husband tried another local specialty. The food was just OK, nothing really special. We were seated outside on a very busy night and the service was fine. The best part about the restaurant was its location just off the historic center close to our hotel, so within 5 minutes we were back to our rooms.

The worst service ever!!! No one gave us a menu when we were seated, was trying to call a waiter but he said in a rude manner:” One moment”, I waited for 20 min and after that called him again and received the same rude answer, although he had a time to pick up an order , instead he was doing some secondary not important job. Rude waiter, was ignoring our table, didn’t pick up dirty plates. Brought the bill without a folder. After the payment left the table as fast as could and didn’t even say thank you. Not recommended!!!

Not much to say, except the big problem here is that customers don’t seem to be welcome. Nobody to show us the way to our table, waiters giving us bad information on dishes and on top of everything the kitchen closed 10 minutes before the time without anyone asking if we would have liked something else or a dessert (even if we mentioned that previously). Food wasn’t bad and the restaurant is kind of cool, but nothing special either so overall a 2 stars dinner for me

The flagship restaurant was recommended to us by another tourist that happened to be in a tour with us in Bratislava and it was totally worth the visit. There we had the chance to taste the traditional soup of Slovakia served in a loaf of bread, along with other traditional plates based on potato. Everything was delicious! The beer was also very good, as was the service as well. Strongly recommended!

We found it by accident as we were looking for other restaurant. Located 5 walk from st.michaels gate in the old town of Bratislava. It was a theatre and converted to a restaurant. The place is really beautifull, huge with a unique, cosy atmosphere. The restaurant offer traditional Slovak food. The food was outstanding in good size portions, very tasty and well cooked, good selections of beer. The best dinner we had during our 4 days stay in Bratislava. Service was fast, although the waiter didn't speak English. This is amust visit.Highly recommend this place to eat or drink beers.

Cool place with nice location and atmposphere. They serve traditional and ethnic food which goes with a fair portion size and price. Our waitress was not in a good mood that day but we were fine with that.

My boyfriend and I ate lunch here one day while in Bratislava. To be honest, when we walked in, we were skeptical because the restaurant was not very busy and it looked kind of touristy. After checking the reviews again, we decided to give it a try and we were not disappointed. We started with an order of garlic soup in a bread bowl and then for our main meal I had the potato dumplings with meat and cabbage and my boyfriend had a sausage and fries. We both thought our meals were really good. I also had a nice cold beer which was great.
