Staff is very kind and location is beautiful. Starters are great, but main course not, too heavy and with too much onion that covers all other flavors. Last point, we asked for some bread and they charged 1.5€ for 4 little pieces of bread (four!!),...with a bill above 80€. Not so classy.More

If you are willing to eat in the designer restaurant, good and healthy food, this is the one you should go. I would say, for me this is the top of the pops. The food is regional, highest quality, ambiance is very warm and comfy....Personnel is very professional. You can either order a la carte, or there is a special weekly menu. The resto is in the very centre of the city, close to the Mayors house. Attention: they open at 12 am sharp.More

Visiting the next door Hummel museum, by accident we stumbled into this very nice place, attracted by the limited but very creative menu on the window. But what a marvelous surprise! From the appetizer - with three different types of salt - to the fish...and the meat to the dessert it was an incredible tasty and very nicely presented dinner. Also the wine - we had the Slovak three-wine-tasting option - was excellent. The young sommelier and the girl/lady were most helpful in recommending the wine. So anybody looking for some fine, exquisite and creative Central European cuisine, we can highly recommend this place - and indeed with very affordable prices. Thank you to both persons attending us for a very nice evening! .More

We stumbled upon Selavi after a disappointing meal in a highly-ranked place round the corner and soon wished we had started here. We had excellent wine and dessert and so wished we had found it earlier in our stay in Bratislava. Service was pleasant and...knowledgeable, the wines were the best we had tasted in the city and the dessert (cheesecake made using smoked sheep cheese served with rosemary ice cream) simply one of the best I had tasted in a long time. Highly recommendedMore

We were looking for a place for dinner. We didn't have a reservation and EVERYTHING was full until we stumbled by this little gem. A very stylish and personal winebar with excellent food. Great wine recommendations and the food was sublime. On top of that...they had live music. We felt like queens!More

The former wine shop was rebuild and refurnished into a restaurant. The interior is nice and clean but for my it has no special "atmosphere". The place has a great location in the city centre. As far as I know this is the 2nd opened...Selavi operation. The first one - wine bar is in Tatranska Lomnica. But beside the neuter interior I can say the service was absolutely professional and the staff was always helpful, going around. Selection of wines is wide - from different Slovak, German and Italian wine producers. The staff will help you with a selection or pairing if you don´t have your own opinion. And the food! That was a fairy-tale. Season products prepared with fantasy and all I got on my plate was super tasty. The menu is changing quite often according to available seasonal products but there is still some special offer which will be offered by the staff. Great place to hang out with friends, for date or for wine.More

Selavi is a nifty wine bar. Yet they also serve fabulous food! Tasty, delicate, creative and quite sophisticated. The menu is limited, do one doesn't have many options to chose from. However, everything we ordered was top notch. And the wine too. Especially the Slovakian...Donau, which reminded me of some of the best French grand cru CABs I'd enjoyed. Highly recommended for a romantic dinner, or any dinner ...More

Walked past this restaurant and then saw the car in the Window, and wondered what on earth is that? Never heard of an Aero before. So went back the next day for what we thought would be a quick lunch and was blown away by...the quality of what was offered. Now if you favour belt busting hearty food then these delicately prepared offerings that you normally find in establishments with Michelin stars will not be for you. However if you like clever combinations of taste and textures you would not be disappointed. As Selavi started life as a wine bar you would expect the wines to be good and both the ‘Bott Frigyes’ Pinot Noir and the ‘Chateau Ruban Milia’ semi sweat were very good and the ‘Zitavske Vinice’ Dunaj was excellent. The menu is short but the Celery Soup, Cod, Pork Knuckle and both desserts were all good. Prices were surprisingly reasonable. The coffee was also excellent.More
