If you are in Bratislava and you want to enjoy some local wine with expert local wine knowledge this is the place to go. The owner personally attended to our small group and curated a tasting menu that pleased our entire crew.
The wines are all local and personally selected by the proprietor. You won't find thousands of different brands here, just good quality wines at a reasonable cost.
The location is just off the main town square which provides great ambiance and character.
I highly suggest if you are in Bratislava and enjoy a glass or two of wine that you stop at Grand Gru Wine Gallery.

The wine is wonderful, the pours are generous and the atmosphere is enchanting.
I walked by this place in the morning, and wondered what it was. Then Patrik the Guide told me to go- and it was great. I tried several wines (their own blends) and was incredibly impressed! Martin (Pagi as he is known, the proprietor) is so friendly and knowledgable you will think all your European tour dreams came true. This gem sits on a tiny corner up the road from the city square and on the way to Micheal's Gate. It was bustling and lively, with adorable tables out front - that I imagined 19th century artists and poets at, and an enchanting cellar room for private parties/ tastings if you so wish. My only regret is not going there sooner:)
Tasting wine there was enjoyable and adventurous without the typical pretentiousness. I found I enjoyed a lot of white wines when I typically only prefer reds.
If you like wine and want to explore Slovakian wine this is a must while in Bratislava!

A wonderful evening quaffing excellent local wines in a very pleasant setting. The owner, Pagi, was an excellent host and tailored the wines we drank to our individual tastes. He works with local producers to create excellent and reasonably priced wines with, in my view, the Pinot Noir a stand-out. I could not recommend Grand Cru Wine Gallery more highly for a fun evening out in Bratislava.

We were really looking forward to visiting this wine bar as a treat, but sadly it was really disappointing. I think this was due to the owner not being present and the staff member looking after the place on Saturday evening.
We were not given a menu and instead bluntly asked "what do you want?" When i explained my usual fairly standard Grape varieties of choice he walked away and later returned saying he didnt know what these varieties were and just served us a wine with absolutely no information. It was a pretty poor wine for the price (again not shared with us until we had to pay) and we were made to feel like he rather we didnt come in. Complete waste of money..

Had read so many great reviews of this place and the day we went it seems that they were not ready for any customers.
We ordered a cheese plate and the only employee there left the bar and literally went down the street to a quick market to buy the cheese and items for the plate ... so much for getting good artisan cheese and flavors. He came back with a bag and cut the stuff with our sight.
That really turned us off and after one bottle of moderate priced wine we left ...
Not what I expected ... tons of wine are on the list but again the person who was there that day was far from being a wine person, he knew basic stuff and really couldn't guide us to a unique experience ...
Was very DISAPPOINTED !!!!

Visited this fantastic Wine Gallery last week during our stay in Bratislava. We were greeted by Martin who talked us through the various wines we had. We also had a plate of "snacks" which was cheese, cold meat and bread sticks which was really tasty and a great accompaniment to our great wines.
We had a lovely time and hope to be back again soon.
Thanks Martin for a memorable evening.

We were in Bratislava last weekend and really wanted to visit the grand cru wine gallery. Unfortunately it was closed on Sunday, the only evening we could visit. After sending a message to the owner he especially opened up on Sunday for us! We had a very good evening tasting all kinds of wines from the Slovak Region. It was truly wonderful and we would definitely go back if we would come back to Bratislava!

Brilliant experience, wines were delicious, priced at around €3-4 per glass and we got to try many different Slovakian varieties.
Martin is an excellent host and sommelier and very knowledgeable and friendly. He was even happy to message me with recommendations for dinner in Bratislava and Vienna as I had asked for ideas.
We had great local wines and were served a lovely plate of nibbles and the final bills (yes we went twice on our 3 day trip!) were very reasonable.
I would highly highly recommend Grand Cru Wine Gallery!

This place lived up to its expectations. When we were looking around for a wine bar we found this place with a 4,8 score o' google maps. Curious about the score we went to try some wine.
When we arrived we were warmly greeted by the host, Martin. As a host he is perfect. He warmly greets his costumers, asks them about their wine preference and he has an amazing knowledge of the wines he serves.
We tasted a lot of different wines, all. Of them based on our personal preferences. For my girlfriend he chose the right white wines with a certain sweet and dryness while for me he chose the best red wines. He even served a wine whish he has an exclusive limited edition of.
To top it al off, Martin gave us some insight information about certain places we should definitely visit in bratislava. Hats of for this bar, if I could I would give it more than a 5* rating.

Thank you so much to Martin for the most wonderful evening. Best wine we’ve ever tried and at such amazing prices!
Martin has such a depth of knowledge about all the wines and local Slovakian vineyards - he chose all of the wines for us to drink. We chatted about history and culture, and Martin was great fun.
As a bonus we had delicious cheese & cold meats.
Please please go and support Martin - you won’t regret it.

This wine bar deserves its 5 stars from the moment you walk through the door Michael makes you feel welcome.I allowed him make the selection for me and his wines were great. This has to be your first port of call if your visiting Bratislava .

We had a fun, relaxing afternoon enjoying a selection of local wines. Martin was attentive and gave great insight into each wine tasted. We had booked on the Saturday but unfortunately Martin couldn’t open as he was unwell, but he kept in touch and offered the Sunday instead: he was open for a group booking. Perfect

We visited Grand Cru as we enjoy nice wines and reviews were positive. Warm welcome from Martin who is very knowledgeable about wine. We enjoyed a few glasses of fine Slovakian wine, chosen by Martin with our tastes considered. We were not disappointed. We enjoyed a lovely meat & cheese board. All very reasonable considering the quality. It was a lovely evening and we would return in the future.

An excellent wine bar in a quiet street, very cosy interior. They have a great selection of local wines. The owner is very friendly and takes the time to explain the different wines on the menu. A must when visiting Bratislava!

Enjoy exceptional wines? Want to experience/learn local regional wines? Appreciate a cool vibe and environment? Want to support an awesome human in his business? YOU NEED TO GO TO Grand Cru Wine Gallery! I found this place in planning our Bratislava vacation and the experience FAR exceeded my already very high expectations! The owner, Martin, is a really great guy and an exceptional host. We enjoyed a wide range of regional red and white wines that Martin personally selected tailored to the tastes of me, my wife and college-age daughter. I just can't say enough good things about this place. Be sure to stop in to enjoy yourself and pick a bottle of wine for home (or a case!)... you'll be glad you did!
