Typical Jap restaurant, there's a lot of food choices, quiet, affordable but the portion of the food is not fair enough, the fish was salty but the Yakisoba that I ordered was great and I can taste it was homemade. I don't recommend the lemonade because...it's disgusting. There's no service fee so that's great, the servers were polite too but it took 30 mins to have our orders although there's just 2 customers inside.More
We wanted to have some Asian food during our stay and this one was near where we were at that time.
I had fried rice which was quite fine though I also had better in the past but nothing to complain. My wife had sushi...which was just solid but nothing great. The fish was definitely not freshly cut, the pieces most likely pre-prepared and therefore partially a bit dry (though still good I wanna add). Nevertheless just an average culinary experience.More
We ordered 2 vegetable ramens and instead got 2 spicy cup noodle-esque meals with hardly any vegetables in. We have both lived in Japan and know what proper ramen tastes like.
I enjoy spicy food but this didn't even taste nice, it was just spicy...without flavour, while the noodles were nothing like authentic ramen. Although I tried to eat it, I couldn't finish it, but my girlfriend couldn't eat any of it as it was far too spicy.
We called over the waiter and she explained that she wouldn't have ordered the meal knowing that it was spicy. She ordered vegetable tempura instead and the waiter was apologetic, explaining that the menu said only in Slovakian that the ramen was spicy. The tempura was average with some strange choices of vegetables (onion?!) and we also shared some California rolls which were tasty but on the expensive side.
The beers were fairly reasonably priced with non-alcoholic and Japanese beers available.
When we asked for the bill the waiter said we could have a dessert on the house to make up for the spicy ramen problem but we were both full enough so just got the bill. They had deduced the cost of our beers instead of us having a dessert. The waiter was overall very good and we left a tip which hopefully will go to him and not the kitchen!
I think that if you are looking for sushi and don't mind paying a bit more than usual then you can have a good meal here, but wouldn't recommend it for other food.More
