Thank you very much for this amazing review. Best regards Dom
The atmosphere was great and the service was impeccable, especially our server Nina. We had the octopus dish and the Spanish seafood paella which were both great. Would definetly recommend, especially for couples and small groups
Thank you very much for your awesome review. Dominik
Delicious food, good atmosphere with latin music, many wines, attentive servers. I ate a "Chicharrón" (crispy pork belly) with dry white wine.
Thank you for your awesome review :) Dominik
We loved our experience at Mecheche! It was the perfect setting for a nice meal with friends! We ordered quite a few different items from the menu and was able to all share family style. The drinks and food were both amazing and the staff...was very attentive to our needs and made sure we were well taken care of. All the food that I tried was delicious and we left very satisfied.More

Thank you for nice review :) Dominik
Convenient place in old town. Very cozy, clean, and nicely decorated. This is more of a tapas restaurant so its important to understand that it is more family style eating. The food is very good and the staff if amazing. I highly recomend for a...good time out with family or friends. Great local brew beer as wellMore

Place is nice and cosy. Food below average, we had meat and it was too hard, not cut in proper pieces rather a big piece full of fat, we had salad and it was ridiculously small. Service slow and not professional -though polite- (we did...not have proper knives to cut the meat, we had to ask for things all the time, brought all dishes together!). And for all the above certainly overpriced.More
Yes, this restaurant is in the hearth of the old town. But it is ridiculous to charge €8.90 for four tiny pieces of squid on a skewer or seven shrimps. Even in Western Europe prices for tapas are much lower. And for the bread basket...on the table there is also an extra charge. The service is alright and the food is eatable, but this place aimed at overcharging tourists.More
Came after reading reviews and a late flight in Wanted the option of tapas style I must be in the minority as the tapas is very very average, we had mushrooms, sausages and halloumi all very poor in their own way Drinks were good Disappointed
Mecheche was recommended to us by locals. It is situated on a nice side street in Old Town Bratislava. On a pleasant evening, great place to eat outdoors. Restaurant offers a decent selection of Tapas and main meals of Iberico pork, steak, etc... Warning in...the Padrón peppers. Although cooked the same as you would find in Spain, these padrons at Mecheche is not exactly the same variety. They are more like larger sized green chillis. This meant that about 30 percent of the ones we tried were ‘burn your ficken mouth off’ varieties. Try at your own risk. Recommend the beet salad & prawns with lemon grass. Also tried the pork chop, which was excellent. If you want to experience more basque-like pinxtos, you will find these on the bar of the restaurant for your sampling pleasure. Enjoy!!!More
Thank you for your review, we are trying our best to get the best Padron peppers we can, but some of them are bit over the top.
We had a less than satisfactory visit to Mecheche. Service started off at surly and only improved a little. The high point was a plate of reasonable chorizo, decent portion although the accompanying bread was nothing special. We then waited rather a long time until...all of remaining dishes arrived at once. This, my friends, is NOT how tapas is meant to happen. Of these the squid and croquetas were not as hot as they should have been and the portions were modest. The confit potatoes bore little resemblance to the menu. We did however give into hunger and ate these. We did however send back the spring chicken. On cutting through it it appeared under-cooked and medium rare chicken is something I can do without. The manager gave us an explanation about the apparently raw chicken which didn't really convince. It was however removed from the bill with no question. We were left disappointed and bemused by the high TA rating. Not recommended.More
We are really sorry about your bad experience in our restaurant. Tings like this are definitelly not the experience that we would like to offer to our customers. We have already discussed these issues with our chef and manager and as the owner I can...More
Wonderful setting in the Old Town - perfect to sit outside with a glass of wine and watch the World go by. I have just taken dinner here - roast duck. The portion size was in the small size but it was tasty, well presented...and filling. Good choice of wines and pleasant service too. RecommendedMore

This is a really good place to eat. The service is good, the food is excellent with reasonably priced and good sized tapas. Its always busy so get here early.
Thank you very much for an awesome review :)
Probably my preferred restaurant in Bratislava, the place is on a quiet side street, but is bustling with people inside most of the time. The service is quite effective and speak perfectly English. During the day they have a few tables outside. The food is...definitely Spanish tapas but made “slovak style”, so I would consider this a local restaurant, not a Spanish one. The selection of “Pinchos” is no super huge, but there’s enough to choose from, especially as snack while having beers. The prices are not a bargain (count on 20-30 euro per person), but I felt it reasonable considering the experience.More

We were a rather large group so we expected to be waiting a bit, but the entire dinner was a tedious experience. The food is good and prices are fair, however we waited for dinner for almost an hour. When the food arrived, several items...were missing. The timing with which appetizers and entrees arrived was also bad, both basically were served at the same time. Other than that we have to point out the lack of vegetarian choices, the rather dingy interior, smokey air and items that were incorrectly billed. Maybe for up to four people the experience would be better as the food is quite good but as a group we would definitely not come back, which is disappointing.More
