Berlinka. It is not only a traditional old fashioned cafe with high ceilings and thonet chairs, but also a bistro with a peaceful and friendly atmosphere offering a modern "feeling" of gastronomy. Not only is it the café of the Slovak National Gallery, but it is also a social space for various types of events, such as book launches, workshops, discussions, lectures, film screenings, concerts, and parties.

I visited Berlinka just for a cup of tea a sunny afternoon at 19th of October.But thanks to sweet waitress I changed my mind and ordered some dishes. Thank God I trusted her. Light but tasty chicken soup with ginger as a starter, pork with amazing pumpkin purée for main dish, and an unforgettable blueberry cheesecake as a dessert. And a beer.All this for 18 euros..Great. cozy place with an excellent view. If you are in Bratislava, go there.

This south-facing cafe next to the Slovakian National Gallery offers views over the Danube and has an understated, relaxed vibe. Service feels hands-off, yet also quietly attentive. The cafe is a good spot to finish a good book, charge your phone and reflect on your visit to Slovakia's capital. The room is light and airy with pleasant decor.

We have been here twice on a cold weekend in January. Fantastic food, Vegan-vegetarian-friendly, very good hot drinks, fresh cakes. Impressive design, comfortable armchairs and a lot of space and so many books...Located near the Art Museum.
Thanks to the friendly staff of Berlinka. We will come back :)

This place with its Berlin-style is an interesting alternative to loads of overcrowded bars you can find in the old town. It has kids area with toys. Food is quite nice, there are also some vegan dishes in the menu. Unfortunately I must complain about the cakes which weren’t very fresh every time I tried them.

In a wonderful corner of the Slovak National Gallery, with tall windows and atmospheric decor, this cafe offers a healthy, varied menu. Dishes are freshly prepared, generous portions and many options for vegetarians. Makes enjoying the art a lot easier and more pleasant.

Cafe Berlinka is a gem. I'm so impressed with this place! I had good expectation to begin with, but they were surpassed greatly!
I came around dinner time and was greeted and serviced very quickly.
I had a 3 course meal + two drinks and the total was less than €30. What a steal!
They have a small menu but there's something for everyone - I had the vegan Purple potato gnocchi with mushrooms and squash, a pumpkin soup and raw blueberry cake, all fresh and incredibly delicious! For drinks I had a lemonade and later a cocktail, name was Royal something... but it was awesome.
Toilets were clean, the service great, the atmosphere very pleasant. What more can you want? Bonus for families - they have a children's area with toys for your little ones to stay occupied.
Don't think twice, visit Cafe Berlinka!

We were visiting the Christmas market and wanted somewhere comfortable to sit for a drink and stumbled upon the Berlinka. Our hot chocolate was wonderful and a really good price. The cafe was spacious with great decoration and a good selection on the menu.

If you walk by streets on Danube´s side and/or visit Slovenská Národná Galéria this is a good place for refreshments or afternoon coffee; the only observation concerning their spirits menu is that offer as Tequila a cousin distilled (obtained from other different agave plant) from Chihuahua state (not from Jalisco or DOC region) that is Sotol. You could to taste good wines from Carpathian region.

We were so happy to find this lovely restaurant that serves excellent vegan food and wonderful drinks. Mino (Miroslav) was a wonderful waiter who took excellent care of us. The beet burger was incredible. The vegan salad was delicious. The smoked tofu spread was also yummy. Great ginger lemonade. Even the carnivores in our group liked it all. Wish we could go back but we were just driving through!

This gave me the satisfaction one gets when finding a 5 Euro bill on the street, underneath a fall leaf! The visit was a spontaneous ‚iamsohungry-mealso‘ decision. And what a surprise! Vegan-vegetarian-friendly, meat lovers-friendly and delusions! Welcoming, helpful staff, beautiful interior! Check it out!

We went to Berlinka with my Mum for a glass of wine and something to eat. We were served by a young waiter with a good knowledge of wines and he gave a good recommendation. very good selection of meals, I got a warm salad made of beluga lentils with stripes of smoked cheese on the top - exceptional!

Nice quirky cafe where you can chill out and read a book if you want. On the edge of town near the river. Had lovely homemade lentil soup with bread an apertif and gorgeous chocolate mint cake...yummy! Good service. Vegetarian options....

I got here by chance. I had several hours between my flights and decided to spend them walking in the city. It was Sunday, almost everything was closed at 10 a.m, and only Berlinka was open. At the first gaze, it didn't look like a cafe I like. But I needed a cup of hot tea, so I came in.
They gave me a hot tea, a piece of delicious cake (probably home-made), and I was sitting there for an hour, enjoying my brunch.
There is an interesting design in the cafe, classical and modern. I don't remember the exact prices but it was normal as for the Old City.
