We stumbled upon this restaurant on our walk to the city center. The location is perfect, the food is amazing - I am a picky eater and often struggle to choose a meal - and I struggled this time again because there was so many nice options. The menu is nice and creative with a little decision tree according to your "level of hunger". We ordered the Chicken burger and the Chicken wings with Red slaw, the food was absolutely delicious - and the portions are huge and were ready in just couple of minutes. The beer is lovely and refreshing too, and last but not least - I must say that the service was amazing too, the waiter (Victor) was super attentive although not forcing to add on to the order, he could answer our questions about the menu without hesitation, I mean, he's a real pro! We returned to this place during our trip again, since we didn't have that lovely experience in the other place we tried, and just wanted to be satisfied - and boy, we really were pleased again.

Large pub and generally quite dark but waitress was friendly and beer was good. Menu had a number of tempting items. Pork cheeks in red wine was excellent as was red slaw on the side. Colleague happy too with chicken. Not the greatest restaurant context or atmosphere but food was filling and tasty.

I've been here several times over the years. Good solid pub, keeps the level. Good food and great beer. Great atmosphere. I will definitely come back here again while in Banska Bistrica.

Food is ….. ehm …. Awful 😖 I wouldn’t recommend to eat here. Their “double” burger is simply normal meat portion cut in half. Important to note: they don’t offer single burgers over here.
The taste was, as my friend noted, comparable to burger at the train station. (My apologies to all restaurant owners around train stations with amazing burgers)
The price was exaggerated….. I guess for the “double” meat portion. Their bread spreads are ugly, almost causing trauma to a human’s appetite.
Not worth visiting!

Upon our arrival the table was dirty and smelling after beer but the waitress was persuading us that it was clean. The soup had a weird smell as if resting for a couple of days already or cooked from meet that was not fresh. I had chicken wings that were burnt. We ordered tartar beefsteak for the whole table and they served it with one (!) clove of garlic only. This was not the first time we had bad experience at this place but definitely the last one as we won ´t come again.

The toilets in the women’s restroom were disgusting and obviously hasn’t been cleaned in some time. Poop everywhere! It is not something I want to see before eating. I also found the staff unfriendly - he refused my request of ketchup or mayo with french fries. I much prefer the local places over this chain. The “Buffalo Wild Wings” of Europe. Ugh!

Very arogant and unfriendly waiter, better to find another place. We asked if he can clean a table for us outside and he refused ťahať trhy have tables inside and if we dont want we dont have to stay there. Very arogant treatment. So we left to another restaurant with nice service and friendly staff

We had to leave without eating because the staff were not willing to put together 2 tables for 10 people and place them In shadow - although the place was almost empty right after lunchtime.

I came here for dinner with my partner & his daughter. I was amazed when the waitress rudely told us to order. I then asked if I could have an english menu to which she rolled her eyes back & walked off as if i had insulted her. When she came back with the menu she slammed it on the table & left. When she came back to take our order she had a really bad attitude & basically shouted her questions at us, ie what size beer, what kind of tea etc.
Long story short she was the rudest waitress I have ever encountered & I will not come back to this restaurant even though it is in a very beautiful historic building. Shame the evening was let down by this unprofessional miserable girl. When I mentioned to friends who live locally, they knew exactly who i was talking about as soon as i explained what happened, so I'm.not the only one that she is rude to!! She really is a terrible ambassador for such a lovely establishment.

Our Gate 1 Discovery Tour group of 22 came here first for a beer tasting in the snug pub room. It was amazing! My husband was overwhelmed by the fact that everyone was given 4 different beers served in .3 liter glasses. I do not like beer, so the staff offered me glasses of red wine. After his 4 glasses, my spouse had to give up.
But then, we were escorted into the dining area where everyone was again served unlimited mugs of beer. Thankfully, we also had lunch here, otherwise our group would have floated away!
The set-menu lunch began with glasses of non-alcoholic beer that tasted like lemonade. Delicious. Slices of melted cheese covered with a red berry sauce came next. We then had a delicious vegetable soup, followed by tender roast pork and gravy, green beans and rice. A rich date cake covered with powdered sugar topped off the meal.
Wow! This is one amazing place!!! My spouse is still talking about the beer tasting and lunch with unlimited glasses of beer.
