The wine tasting is fun and is a good intro to hungarian wines. It seems like the waiter does the routine many times a day with the same jokes... The restaurant is not very good. It smells moldy downstairs.

Ok, so it was a sunny Friday to walk around Szentendre, every place we wanted to visit was closed :( So after window shopping and breathing the winter fresh air on the Danube bank we decided to have lunch in the National Wine Museum. It was WOW! Small dining room for 18 persons, soft light, colorful wall paint and tasty... More

This is my personal "must visit" place every time, when I go to Szentendre. First of all they provide quite good national food - its delicious and I'd say everyone can find something interesting for him/herself in the menu. My favorite one is venison stewed in a red wine - meet just melts in the mouth. Portions are really big.... More

Labirintus is a small place with options to sit outside in the courtyard or inside in the wine cellar. The food is typically Hungarian and very good. The duck with cherries is particularly delicious. The staff are very friendly and speak Magyar, English and Russian. The restaurant is very popular with the latter. The group of Hungarians I visited with... More

Me and some friends walked in and when we didn't like the look of it, they wouldn't let us out - forcing us to take the back exit and walk around the castle for 10 minutes to get back where we started

Labirintus was recommended in my DK Travelwitness Guide, a book that by by & large proved to be blooming hopeless with regards to culinary recommendations. I can't pretend that this restaurant was a temple of foodie greatness, dishes were overdone & lacked finesse. Nevertheless, we really enjoyed the place. This was in very large part due to the wonderful, wonderful... More

The only disadvantage of this place is it is location in very touristic district. Food is so so. Staff is however nice. And this place is always full of Russian speaking tourists who come here for eating and guided wine degustation. Staff speaks Russian.

On the main street of Szentendre, cosy small town with great artistic traditions, at medieval times a reach Serbian traders town on a North-South trade road. Beautiful location on Danube river band. Plenty smal restaurants and suvenir shops. Labitintus is a nice, elegant place with elegant and well expierenced servicemen. The traditional hungarian fisherman ' s soup is very nice,... More

We had three big soups: goulash, one with deer and another with rabbit... Soups were all very delicious. We also had some Hungarian rosé wine, which was on a bitter end but still drinkable. We were three ladies and the old waiter wanted to flirt a bit, which became annoying at the end...
