Magyar csárda means Hungarian Pub, and as a real one, the wine and the food are coming with live music. For me, a quiet place is more appealing, where you can have a nice conversation during the dinner, but because I heard that they serve good food, I gave up my principles. We ordered the same dishes with my daughter.... More

We spend time in Hevis not 1st time. And our experience of local restaurants was not very well. Fortunately we used list of TAdv and chose #3 in list. (1,2 was far))). It was a great dinner. Cheap, delicious and hospitality. Nice folk music.

Typical menu and above average food. We sat outside and enjoyed the plentiful servings and affordable wine. Very friendly service. Loved the traditional music played by a decent trio.

Excellent typical Hungarian food. The food was prepared quickly to what were large portions. The whole dinner was accompanied by Hungarian songs that played a live band. Beautiful end the day in the spa town

We had homemade lemonade, it was great :) Then catfish with potatoes and grilled vegetables + game stew with croquettes. Everything was nice, nothing to complain about. Wide selection of meals for reasonable prices.

If you like to experience the Hungarian style of food and entertiment, the Csarda is a must for everyone. Local specialties from the skilled chefs complimented with heavenly Tokaji or Balaton region wines are simply scrumches. The atmosphere of the Csarda is vibrating, filled with delicious smell of food, open fire, local wines and the music played by real gypsy... More
