I will be very honest. I dont like social networks where everyone is writing reviews and trying to be expert for everything:), where in few minutes you can kill restaurant, just because you act like prick. This time I decide to be like everyone else......but I am not killing... I really travel a lot, I like food and I always try to eat something local. In Gyor you can find lot of good restaurants. Some of them are mostly traps for tourists with photo menu and weird continental cousine. Kisfaludy Gourmet is different. Chef does not cook from book, he cooks what he eats what his morher teached him to cook. If you want to try realy Hungarian cousine made from high quality food, really good wine. You must. I can imagine that this restaurant will be in the future my place to eat...everytime I visit Gyor, must eat there. Small place with whole Magyar food universe to discover. Mister chef, you are my favourite for one star Micheline!More

The worst chicken I've eaten in a restaurant in my life. It was so dry it was literally impossible to cut through it let alone chew it. The owner is an unpleasant person. He disrupted our dinner twice with his arrogant questions, not being able...to accept any criticism. We could hear his shouting from the kitchen, complaining about us. Wilted salad that was drowning in dressing making our throat hurt. The dessert was horrendous, it doesn't even deserve a description. The only thing that was good is the risotto but nothing outstanding or memorable.More

Dear Eszter, The chicken is local and is taken fresh every day, - steamed, so it cannot be dry, customers have never complained about it, they are praised. We also buy vegetables from local garden every day, which are fresh and crunchy. I'm so -...More

We were passing through on a cycling trip. Spent the evening here and discovered a gem. On the night of our visit a "middle ages" menu was being offered. All of the receipes derived from 16th and 17th century. I had a superb pork and...forest fruits dish in a short crust pastry and my wife had duck in with plums and ginger, also excellent. Wine list was huge and the waitress did a great job of recommending good ones. The chef came and a good chat with us too, he was really passionate about his restaurant. The best food we had on our whole holiday.More

We looked for this place online on our way to Slovacchia as we wanted to stop and see Gyor and experienced some local authentic cousin. This is definitely the place where to go! Amazing food all prepared by the Chef, included homemade sausages and the...best shortbread we ever head! The chef who also own the place was so kind to give me the recipe and we had a nice chat with him. He is really passionate about his job and best pork I had in a long time. Also this small but very cosy place offers an impressive selection on wines, over 250 of which 100 are Hungarian. We taste 4 of them out of the waitress indication and they were one better than the other. Thank you again for the amazing experience!More

Kisfaludy was our 3rd restaurant to have diner in. It was a very nice surprise. French style cosy restaurant with perfect service and very good chef. Chef even visit the tables for feedback. This was our best expirience with restaurant in Gyor. Only downside was...that the portions were HUGE :) I recommend it to everybody.More
