We were passing through on a cycling trip. Spent the evening here and discovered a gem. On the night of our visit a "middle ages" menu was being offered. All of the receipes derived from 16th and 17th century. I had a superb pork and...forest fruits dish in a short crust pastry and my wife had duck in with plums and ginger, also excellent. Wine list was huge and the waitress did a great job of recommending good ones. The chef came and a good chat with us too, he was really passionate about his restaurant. We looked for this place online on our way to Slovacchia as we wanted to stop and see Gyor and experienced some local authentic cousin. This is definitely the place where to go! Amazing food all prepared by the Chef, included homemade sausages and the...best shortbread we ever head! The chef who also own the place was so kind to give me the recipe and we had a nice chat with him. He is really passionate about his job and best pork I had in a long time. Also this small but very cosy place offers an impressive selection on wines, over 250 of which 100 are Hungarian. We taste 4 of them out of the waitress indication and they were one better than the other. Thank you again for the amazing experience!More

Kisfaludy was our 3rd restaurant to have diner in. It was a very nice surprise. French style cosy restaurant with perfect service and very good chef. Chef even visit the tables for feedback. This was our best expirience with restaurant in Gyor. Only downside was...that the portions were HUGE :) I recommend it to everybody.More

We came late 30 min before closing time. The chef was so nice to prepare an amazing meal with fresh ingredients for us and made our night so special with his hospitality. The atmosphere was very cozy and authentic. I stongly recommend the place.

A terrific meal. We were a group of 10, all of whom thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The food, hospitality, beautiful surroundings were just great. 10 out of 10. I recommend you take the chefs tasting plate of starters.
