Food: 10/10 Waiter: 10/10 Administrator: -10 The food is really perfect, better then in 99% of places but in the end (1 October 22:00) the administrator came and began to BEG for extra 15% of bill. It really ruined all our mood. That was pathetic...and such people should be fired!More

Very tasty food, quite big portions but it was not cheap, as we expected from pub. Nice location in pedestrian area. Pretty crowded, so be prepared to wait for some time, at least in summer.

I was pleasantly surprised. Got excellent steaks. Much higher standard then the name implied. Best so far in Györ.

We visited this friendly and traditional-looking pub on our first evening in Gyor. We didn’t have a reservation but they managed to seat our group of 5 quickly. The selection of draught beers is pretty limited (mainly international rather than domestic) but there are some...great choices on the menu, with a variety of Hungarian and other dishes to suit most. The menu had English translations and the waiter’s English was very good. The service was fairly quick. I had the “gypsy roast” - pork with a some crackling - and roast potatoes that have to be ordered on the side. It was very good, if a little fatty. Everyone else’s food looked and tasted very good too and the portions sizes were large. Very reasonably priced too. We came back a couple more times for drinks, discovering some good bottled beer. A good informal option in town.More

This is the only restaurant we come back every time we visit Gyor. The chef never fails to disappoint. The best steak in the world.

9 pm, the pub is only moderately filled for a Friday night. Nice interieur, friendly staff and an ok ale on tap. I had mangalitza. The food came quite quickly and that dor a reason. Nothing on the plate was freshly made, lukewarm oversalted meat,...greasy potatoes and undefinable overkooked vegies. It‘s a shame not to prepare the meal not freshly but have it assembled from pre-cooked warm ingredients.More

The only reason I visited the pub is that it was part of the offer of Hotel Klastrom I stayed while in Gyor. They offered a dinner in the price of the hotel room. Pubs are not my places and this one was not any...different. Just a pub with a nice interior design but the food was terrible. Too much and too little of a taste. That's certainly the last time I visited it (and proved that pubs are not my places to go).More

We went there for a Saturday lunch. The pub is in the city center, easy to find if you are sightseeing Györ. It looks very nice and it wasn't crowded at all, we got the table without reservation, no problem about that. The menu is...very interesting, a lot of choices. We took a steak and a fish dish and they both were great. Very tasty and nicely presented on the plates. Excellent beer also, an English ale, something that I haven't tried before. Acceptable prices. The place I definitely recommend.More
