A real Indian place in a heart of Budapest. Food excellent and atmosphere just beautiful, just like a temple! Music pure Indian tunes and lady who works (owns?) there is super nice and positive and else pure. This is a must place to visit!

We had a lovely meal here on our visit to Rome. The food was delicious, prices were good and the service was excellent. It was well wort the walk to the end of the road.

Visited here on Wednesday evening. We were the only people in there and when the food arrived I knew why. We ordered chicken madras and sagg aloo. The chicken was swimming in a bright tasteless yellow sauce and the sagg aloo was sitting in a watery mess and quite honestly was inedible. It was not just the worst Indian meal... More

Decent food and good service. But deliberately worn out decor is just poor. Dull surroundings, boring classical Indian music and low level lighting just do not make an Indian restaurant. Felt lonely while waiting for food. Would struggle to go back.

Located on the first floor in the heart of central district Kashmir Indian restaurant is a very cozy place with good ambience and great Indian cuisine. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed the vegetarian dishes. A must visit place if you are longing for good Indian food during your Europe trip.

Enjoyed good authentic freshly made Indian food during our visit to Budapest. It's a small place with a very few tables, but surprisingly the aloo bainghan and the dhal makhani were very good. The Kashmiri pulav, however, did not have enough ingredients in it.

We dined in this restaurant. As per our request he avoided Brinjal and given Paneer subji instead. This move we liked. He was very polite and courteous in service.

The food is good and service excellent. The portions of the dishes are smaller than other restaurants. Overall recommended for Indian food. The Tarka Dal is of real yellow colour, as it should be, otherwise most of the other places it is red

First time I went here I was a little hesitant as they brought me the wrong naan bread (language gap perhaps) but I then tasted the food and never looked back. Beautiful spices and very authentic Indian curries it has hands down got to be the BEST Indian I have had here in NZ! Recommended!! They don't have kids meals... More

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
