Metro is cheap, frequent and fast so excellent value but at almost every trip we had to run the gamut of at least two and usually more inspectors near the top of the escalators down who made no attempt to check tickets so had the...More

Once you get the idea how it works, it's easy to use. Unattractive design (if any). At weekends due to some construction work, a part of the line towards and from the airport doesn't work! Though they provide a bus free of charge for the...More

Bought Budapest card for free transport. Very clean and prompt service. Fast escalators requiring good judgement whilst alighting!

It's the oldest European subway but you won't even notice it. Fast, easy to buy the tickets and a real welcoming staff. We bought the daily ticket so that we could used it every time we wanted.

Not as deep as Londons. Buying a ticket is complicated. Take the Yellow line towards the baths, its antiquated but at least there are no deep journeys underground. There are only two or three interchanges, so beware. O, and yiur mobile works here.
