Very interesting place, with authentic feel. Gets very crowded, but if you get there a bit early it's possible to find a seat. Good selection of drinks. Ok prices. Worth checking out.

Szimpla Kert was a heap of fun, an eye dazzling experience with such an eclectic collection of objects which forms the basis of the decor for the many rooms, indoors and out. On the Saturday afternoon of our visit we had perfect weather to sit...More

This place is akin to a scrap yard which makes the whole experience more surreal and what really gives it atmosphere. Wild at night with queues to get in and loads of stags. Calmer and more tranquil during the day and a secluded terrace from...More

For sure this is a relaxed bar. Many people around the age of 20 and 30 years. Nice music, nice cocktails and good atmosphere.

We had heard lots about this bar before visiting Budapest and were continually told it was a "must see". Although unusual and quirky, it was overpriced in comparison to other bars, the doormen were INCREDIBLY rude, and the bar staff just weren't friendly at all....More

Interesting bar, great alternative artworks, unusual bars, hectic at night, calmer in the day time. There are more authentic ruin bars to visit. Staff were unfriendly which is unusual, worth a visit but check out others for a better vibe.

It is the emblematic bar of Budapest. Our guide recommended it to us. The atmosphere is nice, happy people, but with a strange decor that can shock you at first.

This ruins bar has a great atmosphere with live music, a variety of drinks, a designated smoking area and very friendly staff. The setting is bright and colourful and the beer garden is perfect for a warm evening.

We had to go. It's the talked up "thing to do". Glad we did. The place oozes character, great to just sit around and enjoy a few drinks, soaking up the atmosphere. Even went twice, well worth it
