We were in Budapest for two nights, staying in the hotel next door to Fatal. Instead of a breakfast, they gave us a voucher for a meal & a drink each day at this restaurant. We ate there both nights. It was cosy and the...pork goulash was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. The best I have ever eaten. It was served with a sort of home made buttery noodle ..... yum!!!!More
Nice place with traditional old decoration. The guy’s aren’t so smiley but that’s just because they are like this not because they are rude. The aperitif is a strong liquor and is definitely not free, is not like tapas in Spain. It have normal price,...not expensive not cheap but you get a lot of good food in you plate. I recommend only 1 plate because I couldn’t finish mine.More
We loved the food so much the first time we went there that we went back a second time, absolutely delicious. Between us we had schnitzel and cabbage rolls one night then beef goulash and a pork liver dish. All meals were delicious, highly recommend...it on your visit..More
the food is good and the prices are good. but the staff (most) are rude and have no happy mood.
we went 4 times and were faced with a lot of crap.
the last time the order never came.
we asked pork schnitzel one staff...said we didn't and finally they had. we do not know the reason for this. shame because it's a traditional restaurant with great food but they lose it in behaviorMore
A rather average experience. Our waiter was unhelpful and unfriendly (as others have noted on here), although other members of staff were more friendly.
We ordered one glass of demi sweet white wine and one of dry red one, but both tasted like they had...water added and were both very sweet.
We had the mustard chicken, fried liver and beef goulash. The food was tasty and big portion sizes, although the beef goulash had lots of fatty and grizzly bits which made it less enjoyable to eat.
They don’t accept any cards, which is surprising since almost everywhere else in Budapest does.
We wouldn’t go again.More

It would be a good idea but probably not necessary. We visited on a week night and it was very busy, but there are lots of tables. The waiters will probably try to tell you the manager doesn't allow them to serve tap-water. They will insist you pay for bottled water. But that shouldn't put you off, well worth a visit. Enjoy!
