This is a cozy restaurant with a big garden. Service was very good, atmosphere was pleasant and food was outstanding. We had the venison and the duck/goose platter and have to say it was one of the best dishes we had in Hungary. Prices are...More

Lovely garden for summer dining to include a kids play area that will please kids and parents at the same time. Daily specials focus on seasonal foods. On this spring day, squash and asparagus dishes were on offer outside of the regular menu items. A...More

Good food, typical Hungarian (large portions, quite heavy, but the quality is much better vs what you get in the city center); waiters are speaking English; the place is very child friendly (there is large terrace and an outdoor playground, very handy). One of the...More

We visited for lunch. The service was fast and waiters speak english. The food was good with large portions so pay attention on how much you order or go hungry. The garden is beautiful and it looks very traditional. We will come back for sure...More

Our treat for ex-pat family but insisted we go to somewhere authentically Hungarian. This very cosy place ticked all the boxes and was away from the main tourist areas. Good explanation of the dishes to us (in English). Big portions of good food all reasonably...More

Far out of the city center, but if you end up in the 2A district consider it! This is a very well-known and good Hungarian restaurant. They offer the traditional Hungarian kitchen, have a cosy inside area and lovely terrace with playground. Friendly prices and...More

Our duck was delicious in all fairness, and the portion size was reasonable, but not extraordinary for the price. No lunch specials, sadly, in a culture where mid day meals are celebrated and many go out two-three times a week for the social aspect of...More

This is a Buda restaurant with a long history. Away from the bustling city center, you can experience traditional Hungarian dishes, ranging from soups to venison. The menu is not unique in itself and averagely priced, but if you look for a quiet place, with...More

My favourite restaurant in Budapest. Have been coming here for over 20 years and nothing has changed. This time I tried the chicken soup, which was delicious, followed by the Wiener schnitzel which was so big that it hung over the side of the plate.My...More

The above mentioned tram number is 61, and then you need the bus number 157A or 257, or 157. The stop'sname is "Ördögárok utca". It is an hour from the city center.
