We had a fantastic dinner with perfect local wine pairings. The cafe is quaint with live jazz piano and we enjoyed the food and the ambiance. There is a secret garden that when the weather is warmer would be so u inquest.

Very nice, romantic and stylish place in the castle district. The waiter is really polite, the prices are higher a bit than an average restaurant but the quality also higher.

Very quaint inside and we sat overlooking the back garden which was lovely and quiet and peaceful. The food was excellent with unusual choices which were artistically presented and pleased the eye as well as the palate.

A very good restaurant, they do traditional cuisine with a modern spin. The portions are normal (i.e. suitable for grown-ups), despite the very upscale location.

My husband couldn't eat his meal because it was so salty. Manager was very nice about it and took it off the bill however if you are going to charge these prices everything should be perfect. Price of wine is outrageous especially for Hungarian wine. Next night we took number 16 bus to Pest for a greater selection of restaurants.Buda... More

Pretty poor quality of food. Very basic green salad, really nothing special, beef overcooked, ok desert. Very poor value for the high price.

We saved this restaurant up for our final night. The service was great, friendly with good gluten free knowledge including GF bread. There's a pianist and the food was delicious as was the wine. A good choice that didn't disappoint on the last night.

Ate at Pierrot twice during our weeks trip to Budapest. Food, wine and service were excellent. Definitely one to make sure you visit and far exceeds other restaurants close by. Thank you.

Staying in District I / Buda

Neighbourhood Profile
District I / Buda
The historical center to a city with a multifarious and intricate past, Buda has some of the most outstanding buildings in Europe and an enviable natural landscape with stunning views onto the Danube. Centered around the Royal Palace, it provides a glimpse into the golden years of the Austro-Hungarian empire and the lives led by the aristocracy at the time. Matthias Church, beside the palace, hosted many events attended by the royal family and was the chosen place for the coronation of Franz Josef, one of the Hungarian Habsburg kings. Having admired the palace and the church, a visit to Buda will be unforgettable by the stunning and memorable panorama over Pest offered by the seven towered Fishermen’s Bastion.
