We were a group of 14 guys. Nothing to complain about. I had the Gulasch soup and the Wiener schnitzel. Both were ok. The price is acceptable and not that expensive. Service was great. Really good service.

A solid local eatery with good service, good food and interesting decor, Belvarosi Lugas is hard to beat for anyone seeking that Hungarian touch in dining. We checked out the reviews first and it didn't disappoint.

The food was actually so good. And the female waitress was really lovely. The main experience was destroyed by a very rude waiter. Once entering, he said hi. I said table for 2 please thank you, and he literally waited for us to say hi...More

We were attracted by the authentic local cuisine so decided to eat here for dinner. On arrival it was busy which felt promising. We walked in and we saw a waiter and asked for a table for 2. He replied with hello, then 2 seconds...More

Had a dinner with friend few days ago. The food is amazing, nice environment and friendly staff. Not overpriced as a lot of restaurants around.

This is my favourite restaurant in Budapest given the cooking, service & value. We ordered the goulash, duck liver terrine, ratatouille, poppy seed cake with sour cherries and all were fantastic. Service was cheery & prompt. Fantastic value & highly recommended. It was also right...More

Went there at lunch time, the place was packed - lots of local people, good sign - so the staff was very busy, but they still managed to arrange a table for me very soon and they were all very friendly and professional. Their goulash...More

My wife is gluten free, and she had no trouble finding gluten fee options at Lugas. Many restaurants in Budapest had helpful menus when it came to finding gluten fee options. Typically if the item had an A beside it, the... More

I went there twice on quite busy days and no booking was needed. If you are just a couple I think you're fine. If a group of more people, make a booking :)
