This place kept coming up on all of my searches but we went in because we just happened to be walking by. So glad we did. The food was amazing and the wine list was very good. The staff was not very attentive but they were friendly and we eventually got everything we needed. i would highly recommend going here.

There are many great restaurants, and also very cheap, around in this neighbourhood. This is not one of them! We spent 5 evenings in Budapest, ending with this restaurant the final evening after seeing reviews on Tripadvisor. During the dinner here, I was almost sure that the reviews came from a troll fabric... Tasteless and boring food, cheap but not... More

Great restaurant, well located, modern-take on traditional food. Busy – we booked from the UK using the on-line booking form and the confirmation came back quickly. Friendly staff, happy atmosphere, space to eat out in the summer. We liked it so much we went back for breakfast – excellent shakshuka. Very quirky website – try it out.

Most tasteful food I had in Budapest, good price and nice atmosphere, specially in the terrace during the evening.

Food is fresh, locally sourced, and well prepared. Ingredients are good. I've gotten sick from a good many places in town. This is NOT one of them, ever. In fact, it's quite the opposite. It's hands down one of my favorites. Food is all reasonably priced and the staff is always nice.

How refreshing to find unique and tasty farm fresh salads and meals in the land of Goulash and Fois Gras. (Not that I haven't enjoyed Goulash and Fois Gras here in Budapest!) They have a daily lunch special that changes, well, daily. Also, in nice weather, the garden out back has tables both in and out of the sun. (I... More

We went today for lunch. The food was good and it was free of flavour enhancers, glutamato and other artificial things. I highly recommend this place if you like high quality of food.

We had a lovely meal here and loved the decor and atmosphere. Deservedly packed out on a Monday night which did mean although our starters and mains were on time, we had to wait ages for dessert. But I would definitely recommend it.

The service is disappointing for a place like this. As much as I love the interior, and as I appreciated the nice ideas for the menu and the good quality of the ingredients - the people who were serving us were unprofessional, the uninterested staff was chatting and laughing loudly at the bar without looking out for the customers. It... More

Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
