We were a large group of 15 and were grateful to be able to reserve a big table for all of us. Service was very nice, food very good and we enjoyed a great evening there. Very close to the danube, could be well combined with a sightseeing tour. Authentic greek interior design.

Nice food, service was excellent. Although we waited a little bit longer it was worth it. We even got some staff free of charge.

We found this place after chatting to a couple of complete strangers at a market who recommended it. I'm glad we did as we think it's a gem. It's like a step into an authentic Greek taverna and the decor is like you imagine you would find on Santorini. Bright whites and blues, scrupulously clean, loads of room around your... More

Terrific. Fresh. Bustling. Fun. This place has it all! We enjoyed starters like grilled octopus (unbelievably tender and flavorful); Greek hortatiki salad (where did that feta come from?!); lightly garlicky tsatsiki; and delicious lentil soup. Followed by skewers of seafood and a platter of lamb chips. A great location on the Danube makes for a perfect evening - just when... More

A very nice experience. Feels like you are in Greece. Porch chops are delicious and the chicken (nr 2) is also very nice. Very friendly staff.

Description
A little Greece on the riverbank of the Danube... Dionysos moved to the Pest bank of the River Danube on New Year's Eve 1993 and has since delighted the dwellers of our city with delicacies of Greek cuisine and delicious wine of its vineyards. The air is filled with the fragrance of char-grilled meats and fishes, fresh-cut vegetables and crispy-baked home style bread. Thanks to the friendly atmosphere, diners chit-chat casually around the tables, which blends pleasantly into the melodies of Greek music playing in the background. It is good to be in this restaurant. The pampering feeling of authentic entertainment accompanies the guests from the moment they enter up until they leave. We hope you visit us soon so that we may entertain you for a few hours here in little Greece of Budapest!

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
