We went by an Hungarian friend's recommendation. Great food, very tasty and well presented, very welcoming and kind staff. Very good price for the quality and the service. We ordered 2 glasses of red wine and they made us try 3 different wines to make our choice! Really appreciated. We were full and did not order dessert, but they offered... More

It is a lovely, cozy place with really tasty food. But - it is a bit too much effort. You have everything to make perfect atmosphere which is spoiled with frequent questions: Is everything ok? - Yes, delicious, I would say, but please leave us alone to get relaxed and have our conversation going on. Maybe this works for main... More

Lovely restaurant, greeted with complementary drinks which were gorgeous. The service was brilliant throughout, attentive without being overbearing. We had starters and main courses plus alcohol and the bill only came to about £40 which was amazing value as the food was delicious. Word of warning to vegetarians - there was only one thing on the menu that was veggie... More

Booked in advance due to TA ratings and the proximity to our hotel. Booked again for later in the trip, something we've never done before, food, wine, service, value all excellent. They had even taken note we were returning and gave us a complimentary Hungarian Meat Plate

Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
