Don’t Go Here, Horrific Staff & Rude Behavior

Absolutely horrific and rude staff. Only go at your risk because you might be called a liar and treated with absolute disrespect. I had been here before and I knew they could be rude but this took the award for most humiliating experience. I made...a reservation by phone yesterday for lunch and the staff either didn’t write it down or miswrote my name but I will never know. They rudely stated that I never made a reservation and kicked us out. I’ll never go back to this place again. Their rudeness exceeds the quality of food.More

The best grilled duck in the world

We used to eat at Kispiac when we lived in Budapest 5 years ago. My husband kept speaking about the duck he always had here ever since we left. We visited Budapest recently and we just couldn‘t miss Kispiac. The duck is delicious!!! and my...husband says it’s the best grilled duck he has ever had. And trust me, he can compare 😀 So thank you, Kispiac, we will definitely be back!More

Wild boar ribs were amazing!

Went yesterday to this restaurant and it had a really nice cosy atmosphere. However, it is rather small, so better to book in advance. The sevice was friendly and the wild boar ribs were amazing, seasoned with whole peppercorns, garlic shavings and glazed in honey...which made the flavouring amazing. Also the roast potatoes were really good. The dessert was also nice with plum jam and a unique recipe to the restaurant.More

Italians in Budapest

I choose this place to taste typical Hungarian dishes. The dinner was delicious. We tried the goulash. The staff is very friendly. I recommend it

Awful owner

The owner of the bistro is a very rude and disrespectful man. He totally ruined our night. Apart from that, the food was okay.

An outstanding experience in Budapest

Local friends introduced me to this exceptional bistro and I'm delighted they did. In a delightful setting, close to the beautiful Art Deco Treasury building, it is a friendly and intimate place to spend an evening - in this instance, a warm summer one. Very tasty!

I ate the „Fat Duck Liver“ and „Goose Liver Pate“ with some Sauvignon Blanc and a Hungarian grape wine, finishing with a chocolate cake. Save for the cake, which was average, the meal was rather excellent! Very, very tasty! On top of that, the atmosphere...of the place is quite charming. I warmly recommend!More

Our best dinner in Budapest

It is six months later and my daughter and I are still raving about the dinner we had Kispiac Bisztro. She had the venison gulyas, I the wild boar ribs. Both of us had the bean soup with sausage. Everything was to die for.

Best Meal While in Budapest

Received a recommendation from a friend and we were not dissappointed. Need reservations but they were easy to make. What an awesome menu - I had wild boar ribs, my companions had deer wellington and a roast chicken. Along with a couple of appetizers and...a wonderful bottle of white wine (well ok, two) the owner suggested, the entire meal/experiance was great.More

Fantastic meal

We had a fantastic meal in this cosy, quirky little restaurant. I advise booking in advance to avoid disappointment because it is small. You can see the chefs preparing the food and it feels like you are in someone's front room. The food was amazing,...great service, friendly staff- definitely recommend!More
