The food was delicious especially poori and mixed vegetable. But the lady at the counter did not show much interest in welcoming and listening our order properly. she looked too busy to ask anything. If you are really looking for pure vegeterian Indian food desperately in Budapest, you can have food here but don't expect much from staff.

This is a foodery. Lady behind the counter couldn't give a smile. Food was served. Food was tasty. But the lady didn't really help with explaining what is what, not offering drink, wasn't nice at all. Food was really good, but the service, the smilelessness and the lack of music, well made the 3 out of 5

Incompetent, slow, lobotomised staff who have no clue about what customers want, how to serve people, how to greet people, or how to behave in general. The names of many foods are not displayed, and when you ask what what is in the food, you get a weird stare from the staff who will then slowly respond like you just... More

This is a wonderful spot. It reminds me of the canteen at a hindu temple by my home. The food feels like home... it's delicious. It's not fancy, there is no service staff. You walk up to the counter, select your food, pay, and eat. Everyone behind the counter is kind. The strawberry chutney was delicious. The spicy dhal was... More

We might have been unlucky on the evening in early December. It took a lot of navigation to find this little cafe near Liberty Bridge and we were hungry. Unfortunately we had the worst vegan food for years. It was very cheap, 950HUF for a smaller meal of Mung bean soup and cabbage gruel, but the quality was very poor.... More

While having the meal we were waiting for Krishna epiphany but he/she's never arrived, tasty bean's sauce with smoke arome anyway. Try it!

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
