We stopped here for our first Kurtoskalac experience and we were not disappointed - they were amazing! The coffee was great too and although it get's very busy here (unsurprisingly), we did manage to get a good seat. The kurtoskalacs were very big so we shared one between us and it was enough as a snack. We opted for the... More

Very small interior, but with seating outside as well. You can watch as they prepare and bake your Kurtos (drooling of course). The toppings may vary and the coffee is good too. We returned once more for their coffee (but could not eat any more kurtos - enough is enough!).

The service was a little haphazard. I felt like they were almost unable to deal with the rush of traffic. And considering their spot is the starting point for the morning Pest walking tour when you've got the Budapest card, their system for giving you a discount is a bit slow. In addition to already getting a discount, the pastries... More

Tasty kurtoskalacs made whilst you wait, fresh out of the oven. Crispy outside and soft middle. They had lots of different flavours, including vanilla, chocolate, coconut, poppy seed, cinnamon. These are around 1000 florint and are large enough that you could share one.

I loved these kurtoskalacs ! went there several times for breakfast and it was delicious ! be sure to sit down and order coffee so you can have fresh kurtoskalacs rather than already made ones: they will be served still warm and super fresh ! You can ask "half half" if you can't make your mind ;) My favorites were... More

After earing Trdelnik in Prague we looked for the kurtoskalash here, found this place, they make it fresh and 1 is enough to share. You can choose and mix your own toppings.

District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
