After earing Trdelnik in Prague we looked for the kurtoskalash here, found this place, they make it fresh and 1 is enough to share. You can choose and mix your own toppings.

First time I ate kürtőskalács was here. It really is delicious and I can recommend the one with poppy seed. Very friendly staff.

We went to the place based on some recommendations. It turned out to have the best traditional Kurtoskalacs ever. We tried the chocolate, vanilla, coconut, cinnamon and almond flavors. All were unexceptionally good!

Searched over Budapest to find Kűtoskalacs and found this one place. I can honestly say it's the best one I found. Friendly staff, reasonably priced, great atmosphere.

If you ever visit Budapest you should taste this lovely traditional sweet. We took chocolate and coconut half and half on a kurtoskalacs. Its was crunchy outside and soft inside...Very delicious!!! I think its price was 1000 fiorins. I wish i had much time to eat all the tastes...

We had the cacao and cinnamon sugar kürtoskalács and they were wonderful; soft and pillowy in the inside and crunchy on the outside. The café is small but if there is warm weather they have outside seating. The coffee was the perfect drink to wash down the sweetness.

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
