This is a great little cafe in the center of the walking city center. Goog for sandwiches and pastries

Dropped in for a coffee escaping from the rain. After seeing the food coming out to adjacent tables we had to have lunch. Seems very popular with locals which is a good sign and very good service from friendly staff.

Ok breakfast but slow service. Good coffee and good food. A bit expensive compared to the cafe's and restaurants away from vaci street.

This is a nice cafe with a really lovely outdoor seating area. There's a lot of people watching to do in this area, just on the Pest side of the Liberty Bridge. I had a winter coffee cocktail, which was excellent, and my husband had a double latte (which is pretty small, and seems to be the largest coffee on... More

We ordered sets of breakfast that had a lot of items in the photo (orange juice, eggs, Marmelade, bread, ...). It was the most expensive breakfast that we had in the fourth days we spent in Budapest. The reality was very different... The Juice was served in a shot glass (50ml) and the egg was frozen! We gave them some... More

Nice place. Extremely busy but ideal place to put your feet up. Cakes were lovely :) Service, although slow, nice and helpful

While one can tolerate the food (you won't expect exquisite tasting from this type of cafe), but what astonished me was rudeness of the service. Waitresses were super rude, paying attention to their comfort, but not the customer's. They kept opening the door while it was cold outside, with no attempt to change the behavior after the fact was pointed... More

Service is horrendous. Staff are incredibly rude. Food is not nice. My friend was left without her lunch - waiter forgot her lunch and her coffee. Chipped dirty cups. Do not visit. When we asked for the forgotten meal we were told we were wrong and there was no apology. Just awful

They took 30 minutes to bring the breakfast only with croissant and butter and the eggs we also asked for were cold. The waiters are always with bad mood.

Extremely expensive: We didn't ask for the price of the orange juice: 6-7€ each. Bad quality: scrambled eggs with sausage, horrible (cheap sausage and almost no vegetables) Small portions Do not go there at all

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
