Typical touristic place. Not good not bad. Very nice interior, good musician. Foods are very average. Middle range price, but almost fast food.

This nice restaurant is right in the shopping centre of Budapest, on Vaci Street. I went in there because I loved the house and the entrance to the restaurant and the menu looked good. The food is good, the prices quite moderate for a Western pocket. Fish is about Euro 15 and poultry around 12 - 13 Euro. I had... More

Nice atmosphere, live dulcimer music, pleasant waiters, tasty meal. Main courses 10-20€, fixed tips 12%. Mid-size portions are pretty nourishing.

Extremely expensive meal for Budapest! The food is nice, it's not really worth the price you pay. We ended up spending 75 euro for 3 people lunch. Service isn't great either, staff quite rude and slow.

We wanted a nice, quiet, not-terribly-expensive place for dinner on Thanksgiving in Budapest. This place was perfect. Prices were reasonable, food was great, and the parents really liked that it was quiet with hammer dulcimer music in the background. Staff, food, and atmosphere were great. Highly recommend.

We tried this restaurant because it had an advertisement outside offering a "tourist-meny" for 2990 Huf. Gulasj, chicken-in-paprica and pancake. The food was not good, small portions and no taste at all. The service was also bad, we did not get what we ordered and it took too long time. We will never go there again and do not recomend... We had lunch there this week. We had the tourist set menu - the quality of the food and its presentation was very poor. The food and drink in Bucharest is very good and good value but the visit to this restaurant was our only disappointment on the whole 4 days we were there. To top things, when the manager/owner... Had lunch on day trip to Budapest looking for authentic, quality food & venue. Located in main shopping street, restaurant is nice mid to upper quality serving wide menu of Hungarian traditional fare. Offered daily 'special' too if you wanted value one course for a local taste and quick lunch or dinner. Room is large with upstairs room also, nice... More

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
