Our experience was varied. The food was good and the beer was served cold from clean lines. However, the service needs massive improvement. Especially from the lady with the short blonde/white hair. Throughout the service she was very hostile and unhelpful towards her guests. We sat ourselves down and waited for a small time to get served, after a short... More

The first time I came there and I wanted to have a dinner there, I felt like invisible. I tried to ask the waiters if there is any place available, they look at me with contempt and were so rude. The first time in my life I felt unwelcome in a restaurant. I came again the day after to see... More

The place is amazing! I have never seen any decor like this before & don't believe I will ever again. So completely & utterly let down by the staff. Completely ignored for 10 minutes. Finally ordered a beer & then couldn't pay as we couldn't get the attention of anyone. Then knocked into by one of the waiters without a... More

I was recommended this place by a friend. When I got there it was a little busy but there was no queue. After standing awkwardly by the front for a few moments without any acknowledgement, I walked over to an empty table and asked a nearby waitress if I could sit there. She muttered "I don't know" and stalked off.... More

As I said in a title this visit was a real disappointment. A lot of friends recommend us this place, so we decided to eat dinner there. We got in and there was a huge queue, nobody knows who is first, even the waiters. If you ask them for help they are very rude and sometimes don't even answer. We... More

It was definately sth different. The whole place is covered with written papers and the floor us covered in hay and peanuts. Looks like a barn it is a cozy, messy and cozy setting. You need to make a reservation as it is crowded. The food was OK and the portions very big so be careful yo order only one... More

Fun place, lots of creativity and original designs on walls. I came to budapest from NYC for short term holiday and i would recommend this place to all visitors, who like live music, old 70s songs and excellent choice of beer with tasty food

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
